The only problem I have with it right now is how quickly they are accelerating Norman's killings - Bradley and then her mom in very quick succession. I'm sure they're going to explain all this away to keep Norman in play but they are tap dancing a little too vigorously on the floor IMO.

Well they need to fit things into 5 seasons. So, things may seem accelerated to fit in that timeline.

I think too it's about time Norman started with more killings. It's Psycho time.

It wasn't Bradley's mom.

Well now things are going to get nasty for Norma now that Norman told his doctor that his mom may have killed some people.

She should have never tried to cover his killings up. But sooner or later, he will "become" his mum in front of all the people in the nut house.

I thought it was a boring episode until the strip joint. Seeing Norman there was awesome and so well done. I thought, well someone is getting killed, but they went the opposite direction. Nice scene.

I feel pretty confident that A&E decided to take a week off in order to avoid going head to head against the telecast of the NCAA Basketball Tournament championship game.

I figured he was a deadman from the start. I'm sure he will kill sheriff Romero too.

Stupid Comcast didn't record this week's episode because the program guide has it mislabeled as a repeat.

I enjoyed this week's episode too. The dynamic between Norman, Norma, and the sheriff is fascinating. As delusional as Norman is, Norma is in some ways worse. Although she has to be aware by this time that Norman is a serial killer, she ignores the warnings about how dangerous Norman is from both her husband and Norman's doctor. The evidence to the contrary notwithstanding, Norma steadfastly refuses to acknowledge it. Bates Motel would be worth watching just to see Vera Farmiga's marvelous portrayal of Norma.

I got a kick out of how the sheriff read his ex girlfriend like a book and realized from the jump that she had sold him out and was wearing a wire. Sheriff Romero is a savvy guy.

I agree that Norma isn't dead yet. The writers need her too much going forward to lose her now.

Yep and Dylan also warned her about Norman. I agree about Romero. I cracked up when he casually said ( don't quote me as I can't really remember) Bob was in the drug business like he didn't know lol.

I don't think Norma is dead. For one there hasn't been incest involvement yet. If I remember correctly Norma and Norman sleep together.
Yes the two are creepy laying in bed together but nothing thus far.

I thought in Psycho everyone thought Norman's mother was still alive until we saw the reveal. So how could she be dead on the show now if people thought she was alive in the movie?

None of the characters in the movie (Janet Leigh, Martin Balsam, etc) are around right now and will have no idea what happened before they arrive there. They're all out of towners.

And none of the characters currently wandering around in the show will be there to warn them. Except Norman, who of course won't be telling.

My question is, if this is how Norman kills Norma, why he's not in prison by the time Janet Leigh arrives at the motel. Romero doesn't like him, never did. I have difficulty contemplating him NOT arresting Norman for the crime. But then, I had difficulty with him falling in love with Norma in the first place. In the first two seasons, he didn't even particularly LIKE her. It was far too abrupt a 180 in my mind.
