I can't believe how good this show is. There is not a lot of action, no sci-fi elements, no explosions, just a slow burn that is amazing to watch. Man what a great show.

Amazing television!

What is Ray doing? Bridget's "boyfriend" is walking on thin lines by stopping by their house. I liked the Claudette story arc, and not much of the brothers this episode. This episode focused more on Ray, Bridget, and Mick.

Good but calm episode this week. Oh, and the whole porn star arc was interesting. LOL

I'd go to the Maldives :P
Though without money you cannot live lavish I guess. Kinda crazy how the FBI agent shot that guy in middle of the parking lot.

Mick's roommate that has cancer and smokes a lot of pot is hilarious! Great addition to this season.

Ray's wife really isn't happy in the marriage. First she kissed the yoga instructor, now she is blushing due to the cop who asked her out.

The reporter is going to crack the case!

"Crack the case"'she has all the pieces, but I have a feeling they will never make it out.

We finally saw the "weakness" Ray has been looking for. Looks like the FBI and his wife are swingers. This could bury him if Ray finds out with proof.

Have to say this season is hitting on all cylinders. Haven't seen much drop off at all with any of the story lines.

I am enjoying this season of Ray Donovan too. Nice to see that James Cochran (Hank Azaria), the FBI's LA ASAC, has turned out to be as big a sleaze as everybody else on the show seems to be. My jaw dropped when Cochran's agent murdered Tiny and then executed the innocent civilian Tiny fell on when Tiny was running from the agent. Yikes!

Who is the actor playing the police detective that Ray's wife is getting interested in?

That would be Brian Geraghty, playing Jim Halloran

Had to look him up, but it's Brian Geraghty, I remember him for playing Agent Knox in Boardwalk Empire.

Thanks for reminding me that Brian Geraghty played Agent Knox in Boardwalk Empire. I recognized his face but failed to dredge up his name until you kindly provided the IMDb link. He was also featured in The Hurt Locker.

I didn't remember the name but told my wife the minute I saw him that he was the F.B.I. agent from Board Walk Empire.
this show keeps getting darker and darker, Ray's gone from Hollywood fixer to something else darker indeed.

Ray is just going with the flow, and the flow is much darker this season. He made it clear that he wasn't happy with the situation, meaning killing people.

My one gripe is Ray should not have kept repeating to Tiny that he had no choice. If Ray had said he should go or die, I feel Tiny would be on a beach in the Maldives.

Garrett, regarding Tiny you are probably correct. Why did he continue to try to run away when he knew he couldn't?
My one gripe was the way we were shown the couples were swingers, at no time did it look like she enjoyed his squeeze but tolerated it. A better scene would have been a quick kiss and a knowing gaze but maybe it's just me, IDK.

There are certain people who just can't cope with change. We have seen this numerous times on shows and movies. That's why Tiny was so adamant that he go back to MA. He was stuck in his ways and would rather die then be separated from everything he ever knew. Let's face it he wasn't the smartest bulb in the bunch and this just exaggerated his fears.

As far as the couple goes, I think that scene was enough. She didn't fight him off or look uncomfortable with what he did. That grab with no action was enough. Ask any married/in a relationship woman what she would do if some random guy just grabbed her breast, I think more than not some type of reaction would have happened.

There was more information provided to us... namely the game of "dirty Scrabble" they were obviously playing along with the drinking for everybody, to get in the mood.

Is Abby one of the dumbest characters ever in a TV series? She goes nuts and chokes a woman, almost gets arrested for it, asks the cop from the shooting range to take her to a hotel to screw and then sexts him? All this happens while she has no idea what kind of relationship she has been in for 15+ years.

Paula does a great job with this character.

Do you think the reporter bought the story? I don't, but I hope it ends here.

Well, like Carmela Soprano she must have some idea of what her husband does. When she had the run-in with the Trousdale neighbor women she threatened to "call my husband on you" just like a child would do during a run-in with other kids. "He'll f'in kill you!". So she knows which side her bread is buttered on.

There's the loose end the writers planted of the tell-all cassette tape Mickey put into the envelope for her, and that the cancer guy across the hall slipped into her purse when Ray showed up. Surely that won't just get lost.

I'm waiting for Ray to blackmail Ed Cochran into closing down the whole matter, once the proof regarding the affair with his underling's wife surfaces. Ed (and wifey) wants to be AG in Washington and is pals with CA Sen. Feinstein, so he also knows which side his bread is buttered on.

GREAT STORYLINE this season. Follow-on from Season 1, but really a whole new story. I hope "Homeland" gets similar results from its own opportunity at complete housecleaning and re-boot.

I think Mickey put a tape cassette (which I think he'd been hiding inside a VHS tape cassette sleeve) in an envelope and folded it up. I'm guessing it was a "confession" tape, spilling the beans about whatever he'd done in the past. Presumably this would implicate others along with himself, so they'd all go down.

He told her "I've got a story for you".

Great episode, so many things going on. I don't know why Francis is wanting to go to Ireland though but the foreshadowing of his girl and the fact that the priests murder is still being brought up tells me that if she doesn't leave it alone she will end up dead by the end of season two.
I'm digging Mickey and cancer man's scenes very much, he's got nothing to lose and the bank heist looks like his blaze of glory moment. If you think about it, the plot reminds me of the movie Heat, where the same thing was planned and also starred John Voight, sort of a homage of sorts.

Yes! Francis is walking on dangerous ground. Hopefully she doesn't die at the end of the season. She cannot let that incident go, brings it up like every time she sees a Donovan.

Yeah, I cannot wait for the bank heist. Going to be amazing

The bank heist is not a done deal, they were just talking about it, in reality I doubt he has the strength for it, it was just eerily similiar to Heat, in which John Voight also starred. Being that that is my all time favorite movie, I got the reference quickly.
this season is really dark compared to last. Ray is going to have to find a better way to launder his money,a problem Walter White had on Breaking Bad.
