There's only 12 pigs for the whole Dome?

Are Julia and the new guy making a citizens arrest? He reminds me of Phil on Modern Family for some reason.

Thank god the meteor had moved up to just below the surface, who wants to watch Barbie dig.

The films of De Sica, of Welles, of Michael Powell and Emeric Pressburger made little money and endure as spiritual delights.

I thought it was 12 pigs in that one farm that the science teacher was using for developing the virus, and there were a few other farms that also had livestock.

It was either move the meteor up, or have a digging montage. (MythBusters often has time-lapse or a montage to show what happened without boring the viewers.)

My very humble setup:
Man Cave:Vizio E500i-A1 "Smart TV" (50-in 1080p 120Hz LED/LCD, has Netflix app.), Blu-ray players (Sony BDP-S3100, old LG BD390), Roku (the original model: N1000), PC (Windows 7), Comcast Internet (25Mbps/5Mbps).
Bedroom:LG 32LV3400-UA TV (32-in 768p 60Hz LED/LCD), HD DVR (Motorola RNG200N), Xfinity Comcast cable (Digital Starter Package), DVD/VHS player.

Where did Barbie get that shovel? I don't think they walked out there with one...

Oh, silly me. I'm sure the Dome provided it, because it's supposed to care for them!

The beginning of the episode was kind of eerie for me, though. When Science Lady walked in on Jim in his office, I had a wave of deja vu that Linda was walking in to tell him that she had just let another prisoner escape, or something. At least Junior puts handcuffs on the people he springs from jail... for a while.

Who would have guessed -- the creepy guy who lives in the woods killed Angie. What a shocker!

CBS are real A-holes, as tonight's episode was only 39:35 in length.

Even skipping past them it's hard not to notice the excessive amount of time devoted to commercials in this show, instead of the normal 5-6 button presses it's like 8, 9 or more.

The size of advertising promos stations are putting over their shows is ridiculous. During this episode there was a storm warning scroll. The ad promo (for some upcoming show) was placed on top of that. I swear, at least 1/3 of the screen was covered.

I swear, every year the lower-third promos increase in size by another 10-15 pixels. In five more years, it's gonna be half the screen.

What kills me is when the lower-third promos are very bright and animated, and the show underneath it is dark and static. Why, it's as if the networks are desperately trying to get us to watch more crap! The show producers really detest these built-in promos.

As far as I know, all American network dramatic scripted shows are still about 42-43 minutes long. They have some pretty lame act breaks in Under the Dome, and that doesn't help the commercial breaks go any faster.

Sam and Dean from Supernatural would have handled that no problem.

It must have been one of those magic invisible shovels that only become visible when it's needed.
They show up on many shows from time to time
