Because CBS can air programs longer than 39 minues, so they are A-holes for having extremely short programs while at the same time have programs that are almost 5 min longer.

Seriously. If you enjoy it for what it is, that's great! Nobody here is going to put you down for that and you have every right to watch and enjoy anything coming over the wire and discuss it here without fear of personal persecution.

Unless it's 'Duck Dynasty' - then you'd probably catch some flack.

Wouldn't that be "Catch some FLOCK"?

...or maybe "Catch some Quack"?

Well, I'm not going to re-watch the episode to confirm that. I consider it an act of human kindness that CBS edits this show to waste the minimum amount of our lives. It's obvious they pitty us. God bless them.

"Comedy"? I thought it was just stupidity. I didn't like it, either!

Give me "Brain Donors", "Noises Off", the "Naked Gun" movies or "Police Squad!" short-lived TV series that preceded them, Jeff Dunham, or "The Producers" (2005). Now I consider those to be comedies!

But so far none of these have been seen Under the Dome.

My very humble setup:
Man Cave:Vizio E500i-A1 "Smart TV" (50-in 1080p 120Hz LED/LCD, has Netflix app.), Blu-ray players (Sony BDP-S3100, old LG BD390), Roku (the original model: N1000), PC (Windows 7), Comcast Internet (25Mbps/5Mbps).
Bedroom:LG 32LV3400-UA TV (32-in 768p 60Hz LED/LCD), HD DVR (Motorola RNG200N), Xfinity Comcast cable (Digital Starter Package), DVD/VHS player.

It was really lame. I did like The Three Stooges, Munsters, Gilligan's Island, Napoleon Dynamite, Spaceballs, etc. though.

Holy cow...don't put Napoleon Dynamite anywhere near those others. I have no idea what anyone ever saw in that pile of crap.

At least the other ones you listed were able to fall back on a good hit to the head for comedy.

With Napoleon Dynamite, MY head ended up hurting...

Even Spaceballs is well above those others - this moment in particular:

OK OK, Napoleon Dynamite wasn't that good, but it was funnier than Dumb and Dumber IMO.

Apostasy though it may be, I kind of liked Napoleon Dynamite. I nearly lost my mind when our gangly nerd hero showed us what a good dancer he was. Still, it wasn't a terribly thoughtful film.

I am still enjoying this thread so have remained subscribed to this tread, although I cancelled my season pass to Under the Dome about 20 minutes into this week's episode. I think my decision to continue to post here is safe because nothing I could say could possibly be snarkier (or, probably, as funny) as many of the posts here have been.

Yes, this thread for leads on comedies, and "The Last Ship" for time travel.

I like The Last Ship. Navy time travel reminded me of The Final Countdown movie. I enjoyed that one!

Loved that movie.

Took about 15 years before it was available on anything but an $89.99 VHS.

Was the disc version worth it? Clear? Lots of extras?
