I can't say that I paid him much attention before. Maybe he's always been that thin, or maybe the kid hit a growth spurt. I don't know, but his weight (or lack thereof) really stood out to me in this episode. He looks sickly.

When I was Colin Ford's age I was 6 feet tall and weighed 136 pounds. 52 years later I'm still 6 feet tall and 235. It'll catch up eventually....

I remember "Big Jim" from the original Total Recall as one of the Martian mutant people.

I want that contractor, they did 96 miles of fencing in 2 weeks or less
I'm sure they have a lot of experience from building the fence nr. the US-MX border.

Not to defend the writers, but Sam and Dweight ended up there first, and I don't remember hearing that it was their home towns.

I believe that was from a park security cam, not a satellite. You must be conditioned from watching too much TV!

The most odd thing about UTD is, it's doing great in the ratings.

Hmmm... I'm 6 feet. I'm 57. I'm 134. When does "eventually" arrive? Btw, I'm on a low sleep, high stress diet. No drugs either.

Correct. Barbie looked right at it and eventually left the park because of it.

I never said it was their home town, I said it just so happened to be Barbie and Melanie's home town which was mentioned when they talked about it. It was contrived that they all ended up there.

Exactly, but I was replying to someone about that. .

So they basically ripped off Oceanic 6 and the smoke monster. The way back is just a mess of contrivance with red door that just so happens to be Barbie's home cellar and he just so happened to have met Melanie as a kid, then they end up in the 'methane' or not anymore lake. Seriously it was a contrivance to just dump in 2 more characters into Chester's Mill when they could've easily have them pop out of nowhere like the others instead of wasting episodes on this pointless journey.

Characters continue to whine about Jim, half the time trying to act tough, the other time they for some reason are afraid of him and have to hide behind Barbie.

I meant pictures of Barbie and Julia, inside the dome from a satellite from the side, got to find those screenshots..

But since they have control of the Wifi I bet they can remote activate Chester's Mill cameras around town..

Hey, it was good to see Smokie (from Lost) find work. There aren't a lot of roles for smoke monsters.

How else are they supposed to waste our time with this Lost ripoff with a smoke monster in a cave showing them flashes of their pasts to boot?

And yes, they're all completely brain dead, they went through all that just to dump in more characters and can continue spouting off ridiculous exposition about the dome/egg like they've already been doing all this time.

Under the Dome loses 99% of what made the original premise compelling once you add an entrance and exit to the dome.

Sadly I agree with both of you.
To say the newcomers (all the new additions this season) are dumb as a bunch of rocks would be insulting to rocks!
Now that there's a confirmed exit (and entrance if you're so inclined) why would anyone who knows about it stay inside?

Under the Dumb has been relegated to my "last show of the night" now so that if I doze off while watching... I really couldn't care less as to what I missed!

Hence my comment about taking them to the 50's, a place with equal quality special effects. I guess Spielberg just doesn't care anymore.

I find that using this viewing method, I have about eliminated the need for a sleeping pill or a beer or three in order to induce slumber ..

Truth is, if the better half did not somehow still actually like the show, I would have dropped out .. too many other much more compelling shows out there .. but, in for a penny, in for a pound ..
