This series has become more about great moments than great stories. The Heller dodge was presented in a way I consider cheating, but I still enjoy this season for moments like...

"I'm only responsible for one death today..."

and, "Immunity is not on the table..."

A.L.a.E.o.t.U.S., as proven 3/21 - never forget.

I'm loving it so far minor flaws and all , after all what else is on besides a few decent summer shows.

There's a a couple of old TV rules about characters dying on screen. If you don't see a character take a last breath on camera or they get shot anywhere else except in the forehead there's a chance they can survive. I really think getting a missile in the face should be added to the list of fatal instances.

And for Prison Break fans we should probably add being decapitated and having your head put in a box too.
Add eaten by Walkers to this list.

Oh my God(s)! Nina Myers is back?!

Sorry, I'm just full of crap.

Tonight's episode was a decent bit of formula. I just hope that we get something so stupidly absurd to happen in the finale that it will forever be imprinted in our minds.

Best line of the episode? "He's a covert intelligence operative, you idiot!"

I second that. Being called an idiot by Jack Bauer, you might as well shoot yourself.

only one episode left, DAMMIT!

Spoiler!

With the positive reviews and this season's success, I wonder what is going through Fox's minds right now... Are they planning another season? I know everyone including Kiefer Sutherland said it's the last one, but they said it at the end of season 8 as well, so... And Fox knows they have a very successful show.

Whats the "big twist" going to be? I think Jack is hiding something. Not necessarily bad, but maybe who hes been working with and what their intentions are.

So next week is the finale??? Ah, excuse me, that isn't 24 hours. Only about 12.

So next week is the last episode of this season?

I'm thinking it may turn out that Kate is in fact bad. The way she kept looking in the rear view mirror when Jack was talking to Boudreaux was fishy.

That said, it will be a stretch if it is in fact that because she has been killing bad guys all season with Jack, so it would make no sense.

From wiki:

"Producer David Fury tweeted that he had a dinner meeting with Carlos Bernard and composer Sean Callery, which has led to speculation that Tony will return in the limited event series 24: Live Another Day."

Who knows...

Jack and his Serbian buddy are actually working for Al-Qaeda, and Tony Holdthemayo (or is it Almeida?) will resurface as the terrorist group's leader.

What a delightfully stupid twist that would be!

Good episode, fastest hour on tv. Lots of loose ends to tie up next week. I think Audrey's husband is toast one way or the other. The president spilling all those pills on the floor shocked the military guys out of their medals. I agree that tv needs Jack Bauer, and that FOX should take a hard look at keeping Keifer around.

I still mostly love 24, which makes me grateful that I remain fond of loud, dumb, and mindless action television, where there is lots of shooting, running, and blowing up things. Speaking of loud, dumb, and mindless, but fun, action television, did anybody else notice that the army colonel, who was one of the military officers advising the president, was played by Philip Winchester, who plays Stonebridge on Strike Back?

I read that he woul dbe up to returning, he just wasn't sure if "Jack" was too old to be running around. This was before it aired. I think that with the success of this season, we could very well see another one from him

Yeah Kate was way too quiet in this episode, maybe she's jealous of Audrey now, she wants Jack for herself, maybe she kills her somehow...

That's why they called it a mini-series.

The silent clock showed up for Chloe and Audrey last nite. Are they both toast?

Tahmoh Penikett played Helo in Battlestar Galactica but he and Winchester do look a lot alike.

I saw them as well and figured since it had been almost five minutes since a commercial they were just keeping us up to date. For me this show really suffers when you can't stream episode after episode. That's how I viewed the earlier seasons and watching 42 minutes weekly makes it tough to get carried away.

We were within seconds of Jack and Audrey saying - I love you. That's the biggest bullet Jack has dodged this season.

I was sure Mark was going to get killed during that raid. Only three people know about Mark's actions. Jack and Heller would cover for him in death to save Audrey the pain and embarrassment. But, he still may die.

Only one more week left to look at those luscious lips of Yvonne Strahovski.
