I guess it's a good idea to not upset the new director.

Everyone who ever watched a supernatural TV show? You included. How many times have they done that on Supernatural?

That's Ghost Rider's schtick. He's a vengeance demon who sends souls to Hell whether they are still in a living being or not.

Plus of course, Science! so probably not your regular spookytime ghosts anyway.

Sam and Dean need to hop on over and take care of Ghost Rider.

This is a great idea. Disney should buy Supernatural so that they can incorporate them into the Marvel Universe. Could be a great way to get another 10 years or so of TV out of the characters

Can this show get any darker?

I mean, LITERALLY dark. I had the backlight on my iPad turned all the way up in a dimly-lit room and it was STILL hard to see a lot of stuff.

As for the content ... I need to consider if I'll even bother watching from now on. I'm teetering on the edge.

I found it interesting that Ghost Rider's car is illegal in California, and perhaps other states. There cannot be things that obstruct the drivers view, which would apply to all that engine paraphernalia rising through the hood. I'm not sure about the flaming feature, that also might raise an eye or two.

This television show looked competely fine on my large television screen designed for showing television programming to the best of it's ability.

You should check your television. It might have design flaws.

When Daisy jumped on the roof my first thought was "she wouldn't be able to do that on a motorcycle!"

Liked this episode more than the first. Maybe I just need to get used to their new set of circumstances.

Favorite part of the episode just may be the banter between Fitz and Simmons when Fitz was attempting to shut down the reactor-like thingie, particularly Fitz at the end of that verbal sequence.

The interplay between Daisy, Mack, and Fitz after the reactor shutdown was heartbreaking.

I'd be fine with the show trimming the cast down to those two, Coulson and Simmons and with Daisy as a recurring character.

May is still a two dimensional punching machine with the screen charisma of drywall. Not as bad as Ward was in overstaying their usefulness but her character arc has gone nowhere. Losing May would have no effect that a generic agent of the week couldn't fill.

May is the closest thing to a confidant & friend Coulson has. And she's one of the original team. She's not going anywhere.

That was probably the best scene in the whole episode, serious dramatic interaction, something you don't expect to see in this show.

That's probably why they gave her the hallucination ailment, it allowed her to actually display some emotion.

That doesn't mean she shouldn't go somewhere.

Coulson can talk to anyone and it's not as if him and May sit down for a nice friendly chat every week. And when they do she's the exact same stoical hardface she was in the first season despite every other character on the show having the same experiences or worse. If Coulson needs a friend he can find a new one. Fitz teamed up with Mack easily enough. Let Coulson hang out with Simmons at HQ and complain about the perils of bureaucracy and red tape.

May never changes. Her role every week is basically to look tough in a scene so somebody can comment on how tough she is.

And occasional fly something.

Maybe the show will kill her with Ghost Disease this season.

But they've tried that before and the end result is just resetting her character again in a few episodes.

Now if the show wants to really do something with permanence then killing Robbie Reyes this season and having his demonic spirit jump ship to May would be an interesting (and most importantly) fun move.

Because at least a demonic psycho Ghost Rider spirit would be entertained by killing bad guys creatively, which would be at odds with May's regular persona.

I thought this episode was excellent. I am really liking the Ghost Rider character and I am glad they have kept him as powerful as he is in the comics. We just haven't seen the penance stare but other then that, he is an immortal demon that is almost unstoppable. Really interested to see where they go with this.

I am also really liking how closely they are keeping the ghost rider to the comic version including the car. Nice touch.
