May really needs to lighten up. Even if she's going to be the stick in the mud character, they can still take advantage of her personality to put some humor in her scenes. Just think Casey in Chuck.

Not every episode, but occasionally. That's my main complaint right now, but I'm still enjoying spending a quality 42 minutes with these characters each week (that its on).

Agree its been improving, although the episode before this one was a step backwards, imo...But this one was the 1st that came together for me and really showed how good the concept could be. As far as superhero cameos, I think they would be nice(duh), but it would be better if they developed some of their own. Still hoping J.R. has a recurring role, as well as an expansion of just who, or what, Skye might be.

On a random note... my fuzzy brain seems to remember a storyline in the comics where Nomad was riding around protecting/keeping a baby... I wonder if SHIELD is going to draw from a few different Cap/Bucky/Nomad stories here.

Yeah baby!  It's Halloween!

She looked different in this episode, darker hair color and more eye makeup, darker/more eyeliner.

So obviously they're not going to kill off Skye.

Anyways, the big bad in this season is the seer or whatever?

Too bad, as the characters are a big part of why this show is a crushing bore. (Will she also be in Tahiti? It's a magical place.) Aside from Ming-Na, I don't buy any of these kids as SHIELD agents. Thank heaven ARROW is up ronight.

The Clairvoyant is the evil one, still to be cast, he's making T-800 models it seems, starting with the leg and an eye piece..

Hasta la vista baby!

I'm one of the Skye's lovers and it hurt when she was shot in the gut, then again at point blank, ouch, but I guess she'll make it, I was expecting maybe this would trigger her "powers" if she has any.

Ming-Na still looking super hot... I envied Coulson a bit when he was taking care of her wound

The team is growing on me, as is the show. I'm glad I didn't give up on it now, I came very close...wonder if Skye will go the River route in Firefly, be revealed to be more than human. And I want more of Deathlock...

Pretty good episode. Really curious to see who the clairvoyant is going to be.

I don't feel that way at all. The stories and villains have been pretty nondescript and interchangeable with any number of other shows. It's the characters, their witty repartee, and their relationships with each other that have kept me in this ball game. Especially Skye. Hope she pulls through! eek.gifwink.gif

Can't remember if I posted it here or elsewhere... but just in case...

I am still banking on the Clairvoyant being Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Stan Lee

Not a spoiler but since he was with 2 young hot looking girls maybe he "clairvoyanced" them to be with him, he looked like Heffner and not Lee LOL

While I think it's fun to catch the occasional cameo of Stan Lee in Marvel attractions, I have faith that the producers will cast the Big Bad Clairvoyant with a seasoned professional. You know, an actual actor. wink.gif

I said this in an earlier post, but I'm calling the clairvoyant being the winter soldier.

Also, the throw away line about sending Ward to Alaska to watch Blonsky's cryogenic cell.... So that's where they kept him after Incredible Hulk.

Now that this show is on a one-episode-per-month schedule, it's getting harder and harder to justify coming back.

The show is getting better but its not a show I really look forward to like say Justified or even Arrow. I'm going to stay with it though.

Show is kind of like Alias, always featuring exotic locations. Probably staged of course.

But they got some nice espresso cups for props, to make you really think they're in Italy.

And what was that attraction called? It looked like the spires of some of the mountains in the Dolomites, which would make sense since the train was going from Verona to Zagreb -- bet they chose those places because the names sound exotic.

Of course. The exterior train scenes were filmed outside of Fillmore California. Live near there, and recognized the location (and the train engine).

Fillmore is in Ventura County, just north of LA.

Seems the last three episodes are really hitting a stride with people who were on the verge of giving up. Given the timing, it appears the producers and writers heard the cries of fans and were able to adjust on yet-to-be-filmed episodes.

I'm not happy, either, about how this 2nd half is being so broken up but I guess some blame lies with the Olympics? Would other channels not air new eps because they know they wouldn't get the ratings, or do they generally not care about that and have confidence it can go up against something like the Olympics?

I haven't been in that area in over 20 years but I thought it looked suspiciously like the Fillmore area. smile.gif

Yes. ABC is scared of getting bad ratings, so they're avoiding new episodes, and it's not the only network to do so, either. Sports really are the bane of television, even on broadcast.

It isn't just the olympics... a lot of shows have a weird winter schedule even without the olympics to contend with.

I do think they could plan these things better, though. They need to front-load the first half of the season more so that they can end on a cliffhanger that will keep people anxious for the comeback after a hiatus... otherwise they end up having to do these random scheduled teases and it either loses viewers OR frustrates fans.

I'm ok, I have a lot of TV to watch so I adapt... but folks that watch less TV probably notice the frustration more.

Yeah baby!  It's Halloween!

Haven't seen any episodes for a long time but remebered this week might answer the Coulson mystery and caught half of it.

Don't know what the blue dude is but I guess it answers the robot question. Not a robot, just fueled by Mountain Blue! wink.gif

Clark Gregg seems to have aged a lot since the pilot too.

Them talking about the clairvoyant is getting irritating fast like Burn Notice getting unburned or who burned him or like Marge talking about Intelligence boy. The only thing good about this show is Sky (the actor, not the character) and the up coming chicks thrown in... -.-

Lady Sif
next week! biggrin.gif

So, were those drugs being pumped into that alien or being extracted from it? I couldn't tell which or why it freaked Coulson out the way it did.
