Anyone applying for HK or MC should binge watch past episodes and practice as they repeat much of what they do YTY. They do seem to get worse every year. Plus you would think that after cooking Risotto, Scallops or the fish a few times they would have the concept down towards the last few episodes. Some of it is quite painful to watch.

The new season actually kicks off September 10th! That's quite a quick turnaround.

Well, he's in reasonably good shape and much better to look at than some of the guys at the beach here .

Hotel Meson de Mesilla is now for sale for a cool $2.85M. One aspiring singer should snap this up as excellent singing equipment will be included for you to perform at people's dinner.

http://mesondemesilla.com/admin/assets/mesonhotelEP.pdf

I will certain buy it if I could turn back time and invest in some google stocks a decade ago.

I guess they have a set number of episodes this season and they already lost a contestant due to health reasons, maybe if that contestant is now feeling alright they can eliminate Cutter and bring him back on?

I hope they didn't sent Elise off because of she fainted earlier, perhaps they don't want a lawsuit if she falls and hits her head on the counter or something... they should have sent both of them off...

If Cutter is not gone next Monday, someone else must do a disastrous mistake.

RIP Mom, we always love you 8/18/13

They can always bring back eliminated contestants. Last year there was a redemption week in which 3 judges brough back 3 eliminated contestants and let one stay. This way they can make up for lost episodes and create more drama. This formate is so flexible and makes good reality TV.

The eliminated cook was a shocker already. Cutter not only survived another pressure test but excelled in it that was the real shocker. That's why I love this show.

My son and I sat there wondering how the heck did he pull that off! Willie's did look quite colorful though .

Chocalate Truffle is such a novelty item than even cooks will just buy them instead of making them. The cooks have the receipes and time to practice before the real cookout.

Looking back, it wasn't as difficult as it looks. Most of the work involves melting the chocalate in the right poportion and hope it'll set. Christine got the poportion wrong and the truffle tasted bitter. The other 5 cooks got it right and they pretty much all tasted good. Leslie has shown his weakness in plating and in molding the truffle.

So what is good if you can practice before and have a recipe of what are you going to cook?

So this should should be named "who follows the recipe better"?

So please don't shove us the "I've never cooked this before" line in our faces again please... they did flapping cook it just the night earlier in practice!

They would either have to practice or have a recipe next to them. But I agree, quit with the 'oh I've never made this before'.

Well I'm pretty sure that all Gordon Ramsey shows are planned and controlled. My favorite parts is the bickering that's the only reason I tune in.

These are just my opinions.

So do they only have use of the recipe for the trial run cooking attempt? Or also just at the very beginning of the real attempt? I would assume so because I have never recalled seeing printed recipes by anyone's work station. ever.

PS: Not following Ramsey's personal life, is that his "trophy wife" or the wife he's had all along, even before he became rich & famous?

I did see a recipe at someone's station a couple episodes back. It was a small booklet/flip type.

That is Ramsay's wife that he's had all along.

Yes - though there was a major falling out between Ramsay and his wife's family, who were quite heavily involved in his business affairs, a few years ago. Got quite nasty.

Sad to see Scottish Francis leave tonight. He's always kind and even keeled. But he does have a tendency to be quirky for quirky's sake.

Big Willie is fading fast. It seems like he specialists in southwest american cuisine and is not comfortable to step outside of it.

Daniel needs to clam down. I don't know what happened back stage between him and Leslie but such hostility display will do him no good.

The contestant should know by now that you can go wild on mystery box because that won't get you sent home.

But pressure test elimination challenge is not the time to get crazy creatively.

I thought his specialty was desserts? So much so that whenever he lacks inspiration or ideas for a main dish, he resorts to making it into yet another dessert. Then justifies the decision to both himself and the judges as, "thinking outside of the box".

It's difficult to say with the show edit, but Daniel has seemed severely harsher on Leslie than warranted. But again, who really knows with the way they edit for drama and the general necessity for timeshaving.

Daniel should've taken the rolling pin like a man. Leslie had to give it to someone like all winners of the mystery box challenges did. Other than getting into verbal spat with Leslie, I didn't notice Daniel doing anything substantial. At least Leslie can cook and he made up with Ahran.

Second week in a row that I think they sent the wrong person home. This week Francis' dish was the only one of the three that they didn't spit out. Willie didn't even make what they asked for. In my opinion, Willie should have gone home. I love the show, but I definitely think the judges play favorites at times instead of judging on results.

My son and I both agreed that Willie's dish was 'what the...' worthy and that he was going home. We were both shocked that Francis was the one out the door. Just goes to show that if Gordon spits out your food you might be safe. Next week is another group challenge, so get ready for more drama .

They always keep the well liked and hated chefs in the show the longest time. Francis L. is middle of the road one so he's expandable.

I think the final 4 will be Leslie, Christian, Courtney and Elizabeth.

I think the next group of chefs to be eliminated are Cutter, Daniel and Victoria. And then Willie, Ahran and Jamie.

I would substitute Ahran for Christian in your list of final 4. I think she has shined more in the competition than Christian and has the "young prodigy" vibe going for her. Christian does not bring anything better to the table. On the other hand they might eliminate Ahran for the shock factor one of the next few weeks.

Queue up Cutter, Victoria, Daniel, Christian and Big Willie for elimination upon the judges' whim and fancy that given week.

I guess I've figured out the team challenge of this show. The team the show set up to fail at the beginning, almost always wins at the end.

It is another sad departure at the end. There's something beautiful to see what became of the Ahran and Leslie friendship. Rarely does a reality show give me hope of the human spirit, they pretty much destroy it for dramatic reasons. But seeing Ahran and Leslie going from antagonists to allies is a beautiful thing.

The irony is that Daniel and Cutter the two much lesser chefs still remain. And so does Courtney but the show always keeps one pair of good looking heels deep in the competition anyway.

In all honesty the order in which people go home is semi meaningless. All that matters is the winner. Leslie saying e was finally on a winning team made it way too obvious who was going to win the team challenge.

really hope they send 2 home next week(s) also.

there's only 3-4 decent cooks in this group

They are still running spots for Nov cruise. It was about $1450 the cheapest per person which doesn't seem too bad over the regular price.

Only Graham will be on the cruise, if Ramsey will board the cruise for even one night, I bet it'll sell out instantly.

When I read about this show folks just don't get it. Has nothing to do with cooking skills its about how they pull on your emotions. When you use a love hate show it works well. Its all planned controlled and the sad part for me is I watch it.

These are just my opinions.

It didn't seem so simple. Heck just look at the way she was trying to handle them. Compared with the other two it seemed obvious she didn't know how to deal with them.

I am glad that Leslie won. I hope he makes it to the final two.
