So, 'Orphan Black' had less than 3% of the vote total of 'Continuum'...? eek.gif And 'Dr. Who', also a BBCA telecast in the U.S. had nearly as many votes as 'Continuum'...? Sorry, I'm calling BS on that poll. rolleyes.gif

Well not many people have seen the goodness that is Orphan Black. It should have had more vote. And I was wow'd Dr. Who did not win.

I agree with Continuum in the top spot but I would have put Orphan Black as a close second, Dr Who was not nearly as good as it's been in the past, Arrow in the third spot seems about right, maybe Dr Who third and Arrow fourth although I liked Arrow much more than DW this time around.

The rest of them, meh, Revolution did get much better this latest half-season, the original UK Being Human was far superior than the few episodes I saw of Almost Human. SHIELD would have been dead last in my poll and Defiance would be in the lower half rather than where they have it.

At least we're getting sc-fi on TV, and I'm really looking forward to Marvel Developing ‘Agent Carter’ TV Series.

'Helix' is coming in a week. It's from Ron Moore, so it's got to be decent. Not BSG level of epicness, based on my understanding of the premise, but it will be entertaining and it will be smart. That's about all I ask.

The previews I've seen of Helix make it seem like it's a Resident Evil knockoff, I hope I'm wrong on that.

As well as elements of John Carpenter's The Thing. Well, maybe it will be a good knockoff. wink.gif

Smart & Ron Moore inspires cognitive dissonance after the denouement of the Final Five and BSG.

This is why I don't bother reading top-ten lists. I don't need some random journalist to tell me which shows I should have enjoyed the most over the past year, especially when I know I won't agree with him. Ranking Continuum above Orphan Black is a travesty, just as Tatiana not winning any Emmy Awards was a travesty (which is why I don't follow the Emmy Awards, either).

A cross between The Thing and Resident Evil? That just screams awesomeness. I'm so there.

Oh yeah, I love watching Alice kick butt, but do we really need a TV show in the same vein?

It's sci-fi, so I'm there, but here's hoping for some serious creativity and not a just a copy of something already done before.smile.gif

I'm not betting on an actual science fiction show but another "Dark Human Drama" with a set up from a science fiction (more likely horror) premise.....and serialized so that we might never get the end of the story.

Yes, I'm a cynic. I'll wait for the end to watch it. No endee, no watchee.

Carpenter's The Thing is one of my all time fave movies. If Helix has any resemblance to that, I'm hooked. Throw in Alice kicking zombie ass, a cameo by a nekkid Kate Beckinsale and I'm in Syfy heaven.

It looks like we'll have to continue using two threads. The US broadcast is again being delayed by almost a month. frown.gif

Yeah that really sux. Unless the Canadian TV watchers voluntarily choose to wait for the rest of their more technologically challenged cousins. It would require supreme self-sacrifice and a willingness to contribute to the betterment of mankind. Whaddaya say fellas?

Well, it would have been nice to have everyone's opinions and insights after each episode. Especially since all the smart people are on the Canadian thread...er, I mean the American thread...er...great, now I can't go on either one.smile.gif

I'm sure SyFy knows what they are doing...they are owned by NBC after all
