Had my Direct tv installed yesterday and I am dropping cable. So far I am happy with the picture quality, remote, available channels and most of all price. I went from $220 a month for tv, phone and internet down to $100. All I had to do was drop my phone land line which is well worth it for $1200 a year. The price does go up by $25 after the first year but that is suppose to be set for life as long as I keep Direct tv.

So my only complaint is the on demand. If I try to search for a particular season of a certain tv series, it lists them in no particular order or season. It does give the year but I have to search the name of the episode online to figure out episode 1, 2 ect. Is there a better way to do this?

If I want to view an On Demand series I set it up on my computer using Directv's site. They list the episodes in the order in which they were first aired. You click on one , hit record, and then choose which DVR you want to record on. You search in a small box at the top of the screen where it says Search and it's kind of grayed out. Hope that helps.

That does work. It takes a bit of effort to set up an entire season of the show you want to watch but once it's done then they are in order and easy to access. It's definitely more complicated than Comcast on demand but the benefits do outweigh the negatives. For one it records your choice to the hard drive so if you have low bandwidth you don't have to worry about streaming and there also seems to be more titles.smile.gif
