good morning all-
I live in the Baltimore viewing area and would like to know if anyone has info on the following channels.
they are as follows
29.8,29.9
34.82,34.85,34.87,34.88,34.90,34.96
47.3,47.4,47.5
and last but not least something called ION which starts with 66.1
any info would be greatly appreciated.

You can find the station call signs here...

then Search for more detail on Wiki, as in this example.

FYI- when I did a scan last night this is what the tuner found so they exist but they aren't broadcasting.

the channels listed in the Baltimore area aren't listed. trying to get more info from Wikipedia didn't help because they said it didn't exist which is incorrect. if I got them because of tropo where did they come from.

I looked up Ion 66.1 it's WPXW in Washington DC.

If a movie or concert video or a TV show isn't on blu ray it darn well should be.

well that would stand to reason because I was getting all the rest of the Washington stations last night. now the only question left is how to find out what the rest of those channels are. I think I know what channel 47 is.

29.8 and 29.9 are artifacts of the UpdateTV service, which is being transmitted by WMPB in Baltimore. You can safely delete them from your channel list. http://www.rabbitears.info/market.php?request=station_search&callsign=wmpb

The 34 stations are from WPXW in Washington. It's the encrypted AirBox service. You can delete these too. http://www.rabbitears.info/market.php?request=station_search&callsign=wpxw

The 47s are a bit harder to explain. I suspect you had atmospheric enhancement bring you either WPMT from York, PA or WMDT from Salisbury, MD. It's really impossible to tell which one.
