Did a bit more sampling tonight. Not quite sure what to make of this show. A little Robin Williams goes a long way, and to be honest there was a little too much Robin tonight. Perhaps if his schtick was tamed a bit more it might be an OK show, but not if he keeps breaking into characters he's done all his career. A bit of fresh material would help. Jury is still out on this show for me.

Robin Williams going off on a tangent is always hilarious. The scene with the other guy singing with Kelly Clarkson was kind of weird.

I have to disagree with the OP - what makes this show for me is Robin Williams being "Robin Williams". For me, a little is not enough. I mean, the guy could read the weather forecast and make me laugh. I found this much more laugh out loud funny than any other comedy premiere I've watched so far (Michael J Fox show, Big Bang Theory, Trophy Wife, Brooklyn Nine Nine, Dads).

Any show that lets me listen to Robin, and watch Sarah gets my attention.

I thought it was ok, but it has potential. I could really care less about Sarah and thought her performance was uneven.

I'm the other way around (also). Without "Robin being Robin" this show falls flat. The plot was equal parts preposterous and smatltzy. I was ready to give up on it but I'll give it one more week.

To make this show stand out, CBS should let every episode run for a full thirty minutes. A show about advertisers doesn't need commercials, as every episode will be packed with extra promotional material, anyway. rolleyes.gif

I feel sorry for Williams, but this show is beneath him... Not only is this show horrible it's like a bad unfunny version of Better Off Ted. Hamish Linklater was annoying in most everything I've seen him in especially newsroom... James Wolk while maybe a nice guy tries too hard or something and smiles way to much, the result of that is shuffling from canceled show to canceled show. With that said... #flamesuiton lol...

No real improvement this week, but still I find it moderately watchable. I like James Wolk, he plays off Robin quite well. I've seen him around and didn't think he had any comedy chops, guess I was wrong. Somehow I think the stuff that does not make it on screen is much better than what does, the whole cast seems like they are having fun, just wish more of that translated to the camera.

I haven't actually watched an episode, but my guess is that it's her grown up voice. Can't be the 20 year old Buffy anymore.

The jury is still out with me too, has too many good parts to give up but if things don't gel I won't be around much longer.
One thing for sure, this ain't no Mad Men (not that it's trying to be one either but they are both about ad men).

Comcast cost me this week's episode. Signal went out up to the last 4 minutes of the episode. Hopefully I can find it on-demand.

Actually, I enjoyed this weeks episode. Some of the jokes were subtle like Robin saying "Really?" as he walks past the person eating Chinese (which made assume it was Peking Duck).

I also enjoyed this weeks ep much more than the pilot, Season Pass for now but I'll keep a close eye on how it progresses.

I agree it's no Mad Men but then again I can't imagine it's supposed to be.
I'm also going to hang around for a while, I haven't really watched a TV program with Robin Williams since Mork and Mindy was primetime, he's still as wacky as he was back then biggrin.gif

I quit a few episodes ago. The best part of the show was the bloopers, and it isn't even worth recording it for only ten seconds of footage.

Speaking of which;

RW: Where did you learn that sliding over the hood thing?
SMG: Sunnydale.

For me, the show is only funny when Robin goes off onto some his tangents. The rest of the show is just so-so.

I'm firmly in that camp as well. The rest of the cast is just ho-hum, including SMG. Best scenes are when Robin is Robin.

I don't disagree with comments w.r.t. RW carrying the show but what did anyone expect? I don't expect the others to do what he does. Having said that, I do get some chuckles coming out from the background banter so I'm good with what I'm seeing.
