Haven't seen a thread for the 2013 MLB Playoffs, so I thought I'd start one. Please be sure to name the teams & game number involved, the network televising (station call letters when applicable), pay tv provider (when applicable), or if you're watching online with the Watch TBS & Watch TNT apps or on mlb.tv outside the US & Canada.

MLB Network will carry 2 Division Series games (1 game on October 4th & 1 game on October 7th). Turner Sports (TBS & TNT) will carry all other Division Series games & the NLCS exclusively on TBS. Fox will carry the ALCS & the World Series.

For the first time ever, Turner Sports through participating pay tv providers for authenticated pay tv subscribers, will be streaming the Division Series & NLCS online with the Watch TBS & Watch TNT apps for iOS & Android Devices. If your only option is to watch via computer, www.tbs.com/watchtbs &www.tntdrama.com.

Anyways enjoy the MLB Playoffs!

And the FOUL!

Watching Game 163: Rays/Rangers last night on AT&T U-verse in San Diego, picture quality was questionable. It was freezing and breaking up every so often. Dunno if anyone else was having the same issues on other providers.

It wasn't the PQ, it was David Price freezing the Rangers with phenomenal pitching against a team he traditionally has trouble with. Especially during post-season play. Go Rays!

TBS was so soft on Dish I thought it was SD. Come on Reds, but if they lose may it be an Indians vs Pirates world series.

CIN/PIT looks good on Cablevision, LI, NY.
My receiver is lit up 5.1, but I'm hearing the announcers in both front surrounds.

Won't watch baseball on their station since they use that god awful pitch box. I didn't pay $1500 dollars for a 55 inch plasma to have the screen covered with more crap.

Hey, MLB! How about a implementing a new rule for the playoffs! Give every team a chance at a prime time broadcast! Afternoon Cards games (or any game that's not a coast team) is unfair to fans and local businesses!

Because if every playoff series gets a prime time spot, the playoffs would run into November.

If that happens, the playoffs wouldn't get done until sometime in mid to late November.

No other teams are playing tonight. How does the team with the best record in the NL play at 6pm EST on Thurs and 1pm EST on Fri? Against a team with one of the key NL stories of the season, the Pirates who haven't made the playoffs in 20 years. And MVP candidates on each team. Based on this I feel the Cards Pirates series warrants the prime time slot. At the very least, why can't the Dodgers and Braves play at one or the other of those times?

I would normally agree with you about on-screen graphics overload. But, in this case, I have to disagree. The pitch box is only seen on the CF camera with the pitcher on the rubber. Once the ball is in play or the camera angle is changed, it is no longer seen. Except in the (now) extremely rare case of someone stealing home, I can't see anything of importance that the pitch box is blocking.

Dodgers being a west coast team probably had some effect on game times...

Today's matchups:

For whatever reason, At Bat seems to switch from Pacific Daylight Time to Arizona's Mountain Standard Time (even though as of right now the entire Pacific Time Zone is the same as Arizona).

I'm pulling for the Rays myself in this series, but his grief, what was Wil Myers watching in right field on that fly ball by Ortiz.

When I saw that score last night I let out a gasp as I though how bad that must have been for you. Better luck in game 2! They can do it.smile.gif

Man, that was typical Oakland Athletics baseball. Some no name pitcher (unless you're a Athletics fan) tosses 8 IP, 9 punchouts, & no earned runs. And then some no name catcher, Steven Vogt comes through in the clutch for the walkoff hit. I dunno how Billy Beane does it year in, year out, but kudos to him & his organization. I think in someways, that's why I kinda like watching the Athletics play. Bunch of no namers, playing the game the right way.

That was a well played game between the Cardinals & Pirates. Stoked that the Buccos won! They really need to find a way to win the next game to avoid going back to Saint Louis.
