Yes yes yes. It's kind of my thing.

Here's a shot of the Tack Foundations' GIF exhibit, warming up five minutes before we open in the morning. All proceeds go to charity of course.

Yeah, the NBC Sports site giving the F1 TV schedule that I linked to in my last post is pretty brutal but was the best I could come up with on short notice. It's never going to win a prize for best Web design.

Yes, they have ruined the forum with the new software. I know the old stuff wasn't supported anymore, so they had to change it, but I find it hard to believe that this was the only forum software available. It seems like it's from about 6 years ago. It is VERY difficult to do anything other than post text. Why would you make it so that it takes multiple tedious steps to post pics when it could be done with a few simple clicks before. You can't post vids properly either. I visit many different forums and there are multiple different versions of forum software and they are all vastly superior to this one. I have been waiting and giving them a chance to work out the bugs, but the core operation of the forum is seriously flawed. I definitely spend much less time here now.

First they destroy F1, and now AVS! Ugh....

Montoya takes pole and victory at Pocono despite a broken end plate on his front wing. Looks like he's back in form.

You aren't the only one! The big track is the way to go. I have only done "The Streets". I never rode my motorcycle there either, 4 wheels only.

Turn One is the one you need to worry about. I watched "Flyin" Fred Merkel burn his bike to the ground after overcooking it in one. Wayne Rainey and my hero Wes Cooley were there that day ripping **** up so Freddy had to give it his all.

Fred

Wayne

Wes

Heh, this was my "last" bike. Did a lot of work to it. ("This" wasn't my bike, all my pictures went down with my phone) I was wearing out the tire edges in 500 miles and my buddies were like " haha dudebro you're like totally striping out of the corners!"

I had a heart to heart with myself for about three weeks and sold it. I would have thought that as I have gotten older I would ride a little smarter but it just doesn't work. I have no interest in "cruising" and I can't let down my family anymore so I'm officially done. Sad.

That is BAD A$$ ! Always loved the look of the KZ. Though I was a Suzuki fanboy. Other than my run of TZ's. Every bike I owned was a Suzuki.

Surely the Tifosi will not be amused, but I can't say I disagree. No team is bigger than the sport.

While Luca does get carried away from time to time, the bottom line is that Ferrari is F1. Would they survive if Ferrari left? Sure. Would they take a MASSIVE hit in viewership and fans? ABSOLUTELY. Would it be enough to kill the sport? Probably not initially, but it would lose so much viewership, sponsorship, etc. that it would severely cripple it. At that point, the other big teams (Merc, McLaren, etc.) would leave the sport, because the numbers wouldn't make sense anymore, and that WOULD kill the sport. I for one, hope that Ferrari does use its weight to get some changes implemented, because the sport sucks right now with all of these crap rules and regulations and the powers that be seem hell bent on destroying the sport. Actually, I wish all of the teams would bond together and vote for massive rule changes. Unfortunately, this will never happen and the sport will become more and more a shadow of it's former self in the glory days.

Christian Horner made what I found to be an interesting comment recently when he said something to the effect that the teams should have no say in creating technical regulations. His point being that doing so represents an obvious conflict of interest. No top team would ever vote for a rules package that was for the betterment of the sport at the expense of their own competitiveness. And therein lies the heart of the problem.

Of course, a NASCAR'esque governing body has its own issues, and maybe there is no solution for what ails Formula 1 today. F1 is not what it once was, and with the amount of money in play, it will never again be what it once was.
