There was another announcement that said the deal also included the 6 Hours of Spa.

Now how about getting rid of the engine development freeze and the dick noses?

How about letting F1 be an actual technology showcase? Allow active suspension, abs, fully automatic transmissions, traction control, active aero, and all the other fun stuff you can get on road cars. Have no engine specification at all other than fuel flow rate. No fuel capacity limit either (it's redundant with a flow rate limit).

That's all fine, but the dick noses have to go first. :-)

You have a point. F1 cars have never been as ugly as they were this season. It was refreshing to learn, though, that F1's decision makers have exercised uncharacteristicly good judgment and seem to be on the verge of jettisoning the double points abortion.

I had heard (i forget where, i think on tv) that they have come up with regulations for the front end for next year that will eliminate these horrible dick noses.

Standing starts following a safety car are also slated to go.

Well, ok, maybe "go" is the wrong word since they never actually arrived, but good riddence.

I'd imagine there were some of the top brass breathing a sigh of relief that the championship wasn't affected by the double points this year. Would have been ugly.

One article did say that some of the lower places were affected but I have been too lazy to find out who.

I just read that Carlos Sainz was signed to partner Verstappen in the Torro Rosso. Will JEV be the 2nd driver in the 3rd Porsche LMP1?
