A very beautiful racecar.

For some reason, cars with this design gives me the impression of feeling out over the front wheels.eek.gif
Would make me a little nervous if I was a driving.

Some GOOD NEWS regarding yesterday's big hit at Daytona:

Theoretically, no.
RB and STR have different designers.

The nose of the Ferrari is also a nice reference to the models of the past. Honestly they managed to come up with the best looking car this year. Let's just hope it will bring them many victories too...

I just love looking at engine/car porn, especially when turbo's are involved!

That is pretty cool that Zanardi is coming back to race that BMW!

Did someone say car porn? Surely there will be adult films featuring the FI, which has now taken the title of Ugliest F1 Car - 2014 Edition.

The RB also went with a dick nose but they did try to hide it with paint. Merc eschewed the fake phallus and dare I say produced a decent looking car. Of course, reports I read of Lewis's testing shunt would suggest that there is work to be done to actually attach it to the car. :-)

To me, Mercedes and Ferrari so far are the only cars with decent looking front ends. Red Bull is in the middle based on looks, and the rest that have shown are really bad like Williams, Torro Rossi, etc.

I thought the FI car looked best until I saw the above photo. Don't know If I can watch a bunch of ,forgive me,dicks drive around for 2hrs.on a Sunday morning.

The RB solution is uniques as is expected. Very interesting that the "pod" doesnt stick straight out like everyone else. It hangs straight down. It is also an open design that doubles as an air intake. It is also offset to the side and is part of the wing support. Theres a great picture of it here:

This gallery has some pics from day one of testing.

http://www.planetf1.com/photo-gallery/9137532/Day-One-At-Jerez#photo=0

With apologies to the Tifosi, that is NOT a flattering pic of the F14T.

As for the Merc, those little winglets appear to be paying homage to the RA108 Honda:

Interesting that the Honda also has a bit of a droopy dick nose, but I guess the Flying Nun wings drew attention away.

My ony hope is that the Merc is fast, and the other designers go back to the drawing board and get rid of the ugly noses.

I agree. I think they were the first or one of the first to show their car, and the angle of the photo they released completely hid the true shape of the nose.

Now that Ive seen more pictures of the Mercedes I dont much care for it. The wings make it kinda insect like looking and the front is jagged instead of smooth.
I think the Ferrari is the best looking. They have managed to make it the least dramatic and I like the smoothness that the whole front has.
The RB would have to be second. They integrated the pod pretty well. I think it will be less noticeable over time and the whole nose will look pretty good.
The rest of them are just doomed.
But you know the old saying. "The best looking car is the one that finishes first.".

Just imagine if the FI is the fastest car and all teams go with a variation of the dick nose...F1 broadcasts with have to have parental warnings before each showing! :-)
