This show - as with most shows- is derivative. The thing that helps a show live or die is the characters and ultimately the actors portraying those characters. That said Intelligence is very derivative, and if you like Josh H odds are you will like this show, he is in full Sawyer mode for the most part.

I found it interesting enough to give it a few weeks to develop.

Watched it, will view a few more before deciding. I thought Megan Orey got better as it went on, [and got hotter too]. Here is my question. Marg H. was either the top or one of the top paid actress's on TV and decides to leave CSI, as it was a grind. OK, so why take this show??? If she had stayed she would still be on CSI making even more money. This show is not CSI.

Wish I could say that I watched it but our local CBS station had their latest Weather Bar taking 20% of the screen space as they squished the show so badly everyone looked like Stewie from Family Guy.

.

There he goes again... Good Ol' R. Reagan's favorite Troll line !

Derivative or not, I liked it. The setup for Sawyer vs. the Chinese gal with the newer chip might be quite interesting. We need to ferret out what improved capabilities she acquired beyond what Sawyer has and what limitations the unrefined chip forces on her. Show moves to Mondays next week. I'll watch a few more before committing to it.

The concept is interesting. The two main actors are eye-candy. But the execution...I don't know.

I don't like their kind of sloppy and comedy approach.
- The chief women introducing the most highly secret to the girl while going along those floors with other people standing or going by... yeah.
- The top notch female bodyguard standing arms crossed (looking boored) at a potential highly dangerous scene suggesting waiting for the special team... yeah

I hoped for a more serious approach.

Well she has some nice reflexes, almost like a wolf, if you know what I mean...

This is how The Blacklist protagonist should act IMO..

And this is Sawyer with a Badge, he has the same attitude and all, also Holloway is a producer on this show..

The forest of the pacific northwest are not a good stand-in for the hills of Pakistan.

Overall, not impressed. Will give it one or two more in hopes it turns around.

I have no idea what this show is about, but the promos seemed to suggest that it was basically 'Chuck', but played straight. Superspy connected to the data base, or whatever. So I passed on it. 'Chuck' was great, but what made it interesting was the comedy aspect.

Maybe this is Chuck if Bryce Larkin would have gotten the interface and not Chuck...

No sponsors here yet that I could see, maybe Google or Bing would like to put up some bucks so Gabriel uses their search engine in his brain

I saw this as basically the Six Million Dollar Man with some updates. The Riley character is similar to Myka Behring from Warehouse 13 - hot Secret Service agent reluctantly drafted into this team instead of protecthing the president. They should avoid having her get into situations where she needs saving. It would be more interesting if she were the kicka$$ character that a Secret Service agent should be.

It's great having Marg H. on screen again.

It's sci-fi on CBS, which doesn't have a very good track record with this genre.

It's lightweight sci-fi and much like Person of Interest is a typical procedural construct underneath the concept. Plus it's on CBS where the audience will watch almost anything if it follows a good lead-in. Intelligence scored 16 million for it's 9pm premiere, which is pretty good considering it got bumped until 1am here for the NCAA.

If it stays at POI numbers I expect it to stick around. It cant perform any worse than Hostages and that managed to make it to the end.

I liked it enough to continue, but the ending left me a little confused.

When they showed the techie traitor right before panning to the Chinese woman, where were they? I mean why wouldn't everyone in that facility have been captured? They looked they were hanging out free from imprisonment.

Had the same thought at the end.... the evil tech handler wasn't captured?
Liked the series enough to watch another episode or two.

Kinda with you on these. It was interesting enough to see again. I don't like the back and forth between Riley and Gabriel, way too cliche. Also, the idea that they send Gabriel out in the field with barely backup is absurd. The US doesn't do anything until it has about 10 redundancies.

Jerry. Just remember. Its not a lie . . . if you believe it. GC

Like many or you I liked the Pilot episode. If the episodes to come match its standards, I'll be onboard for the rest of the season. Josh Holloway (in semi-Sawyer mode) was terrific and having Marg Helgenberger prominently displayed is always a plus. Looking forward to seeing more!

We finally watched it last night. Meh, it was OK, nothing special. Lots of little things that bothered me, like hte door lock was connected to the Interner or blue tooth enabled or wireless, I have installed many of them and even those controleld by a server are not wireless/blue tooth, particularly in the run down place they were in.

Then the female agent wetted a rag and was dabbing at her gunshot wound, ON TOP of her bandage. What was she trying to do, get her bandage wet? That was pointless and just a minor thing but one of many that pulled us out of being immersed in the show and just shaking our head. The acting wasn't that great either.

Bonus points for seeing Keiko from Star Trek The Next Generation though!

That's a Z-Wave enabled lock (I have them on two entrance doors at my house)- so if Gabriel hacked the Z-Wave gateway device, he could have opened the lock as happened.

The only thing is- the Schlage deadbolts are not motorized- someone had to turn the deadbolt from the other side of the door for the center lock portion to turn and open like it did!

That was my point, so many little things. How did the deadbolt turn? They are minor things, but so many of them adds up to pulling me out of being sucked into the show and its mythology.

Not bad.  It was a bit choppy as most pilots are.  First thing my wife said was "is this like Chuck?" and I said I think so in concept but without the comedy and The Beard.

We'll give it the rest of the season, if anything because of John Billingsley which I give any show he's in a chance.
