First game of the weekend...boring commentators on Fox...except for Erin Andrews. Joe Buck is calling the Panthers 9ers game tomorrow. PQ is quite muddy for a Fox Broadcast. The Pats game later today will be wet and sharp on CBS. Seems that every playoff game there are injuries every few minutes, penalties, and timeouts that are making these games longer than they were in the past....in addition to overtime. BTW, Bruno Mars will be joined by the Red Hot Chili Peppers to perform at the Halftime Show at the Super Bowl. I hope Bruce Springsteen sings the National Anthem.

Day 2 of the divisional playoffs...last night's game on CBS looked and sounded pretty good on channel 2 hd on fios. Too much flashing lighting on the field due to the rain and the stadium banner signs. PQ for this 9ers/Panthers game looks soft. I hope Fox upgrades to 1080i or soon 1080p....let's hope fox steps up their game for the championship game and the Super Bowl.

Bad phrasing. It should be "I really dislike Joe Buck as an announcer". Is that better?

watching colts chargers on wcbs hd. Pretty good audio and excellent picture quality. This is Dan Dierdorf's last game as he will retire from broadcasting...he is a good commentator.

Watching on the CBS free stream - Picture quality is fair, but the feed is sticky at best. Fails every few minutes.
Interesting watching with no commercials though. Lots of down time wink.gif

Dierdorf's last game was Pats-Colts
He was awful as usual, suggesting that the punter down the bad snap on the 2 yd line instead of kicking the ball thru the EZ for a 2 pt safety. At the 2 the Colts would likely have scored a TD and gotten 7 pts, not just 2.
Worse yet in that situation a pass attempt was possible and an incomplete pass would have turned the ball over some 40 yds away from the goal line. Dierdorf does not understand football.

Yeah I thought that was odd. He kept hammering that point over and over again and I kept saying 'Huh, what are you talking about Dan'

I have to agree about Dierdorf. All the fawning accolades from his co-workers about made me hurl. He's always been one of the worst color analysts on any NFL telecast, and his retirement is coming much too late.

No way. Besides me being a Cowboys fan, Aikman is twice the analyst Dierdorf is. At least Aikman knows what is going on during the game and knows the rules. Dierdorf makes mistakes constantly.

Both CBS games OTA (KDBC El Paso Tx) quality was awful like last week, still don't know what the local station problem is, FOX's games looked good, I had to watch the AFC games on Mexican TV to spare my eyes of suffering..

RIP Mom, we always love you 8/18/13

Well, the stage is now set for a very meaningful Brady-Manning face-off.
Let's hope Peyton can do what Eli did to Brady and the Pats tongue.gif Should be some excellent football at any rate.
Would be poetic justice if Welker scored the winning TD against his old team eek.gif

Since when did the 49ers become so punkish?

Ah, the DVR. I recorded all the games this past weekend and each took about 45 minutes to watch. No commercials. No delays while reviewing plays. No delays for injured players. No delays for penalties. No delays for timeouts that weren’t commercial driven. Little to no commentary. Nothing like being in the director’s chair. The DVR – Priceless. smile.gif

And I was fully entertained throughout.

I'm a Cowboy fan from the Landry days, Troy always "picks" on the Cowboys when he does their games, I'd like Romo to win a ring or 2 just to shut him up...(which won't happen with any of the Jone's in control). Go Broncos!

Does anyone else see an occasional video stop/start on all of Fox's NFL broadcasts? I see it on Fox5 (WAGA) here in the ATL on Comcast, and my Dad says he also sees it on his Pensacola Fox station (via Cox cable). It's like the picture freezes for a second or so then starts back normal again, and it only happens a few times a game.

Never see this on CBS, ESPN etc. and don't think it's my Tivo because all the other channels work fine. My Dad is using an old SA DVR on his system.
