I found this episode rather boring. Not much going on and the whole Victor scenes were very boring. The baby part didn't bother me since the thing looked sooooo fake laying there, especially the close up that it was more laughable then upsetting.

It was very fake looking, my thought was that it was done on purpose as to lessen the offensiveness to the audience. Light years from being even close to realistic, at least as far as TV standards go(see Bones).

That makes sense. They had to intensify the creep factor this season. One of the main issues critics had with the first season was that it wasn't "dreadful" enough.

It was almost all a backstory last night, with only a brief appearance by Mr. Chandler. I am awestruck by Eva Green's performances. Someone give her a substantial role in a good film. She can do it!

This last episode was somewhat of a Hit & Miss.

The Witch Attack was well done.

Unfortunately, the whole Frankensteen's Monster (and Mrs.) is pretty lame.
I mean...who the f_ck cares?
Frankie in the Wax Museum falling for a blind girl (who incredibly knows all about colors, voodoo dolls, and owl's wings ) after the Doc went to all the trouble of creating a plaything for him?
This series tries my patience....

I'm glad to learn that I am not the only one who is losing patience with the show. This season has been mostly underwhelming, so much so that I have not yet developed enough commitment to watch this week's episode.

You forgot the Dorian Gray storyline, which has no relation to anything else and seems to have no point whatsoever.

For the moment, I'll stick with it....
BUT it is on a short leash.

If it wasn't for the fine acting, I would have dumped it already.

LOL, I try to NOT remember DG.

It seems the showrunners simply grabbed a bunch of unrelated characters from the same era of literature without a real story arc in mind.
Toss them in a pot and throw 'em up on the screen...YAY!

Based on comments made by Showtime execs at the upfronts this is a make or break season for this show, unless it improves on its barely 500K viewership it's toast.

Agree with the above comments about Gray and the new Frankenstein creation, I don't really care what happens with these two story lines. No doubt there will be a meeting between Lily and Chandler, but who really cares?

I thought the previous episode at the witch's house was very good, but this latest one seemed flat. Hopefully, the showrunners got the word in time to enable them to move it along at a quicker pace though I think that ship may have already sailed.

Probably so.

It seems when there was an opportunity in S1 to really take this idea somewhere interesting they chose the easier road of T&A.

Next week will feature something kinky about Gilbert and Sullivan. Not really, but I agree that too many characters dilutes the message.

I really don't know what your problems are. All scenes and characters are really beautiful on screen. And Frankenstein's "monster" is my favourite character since season 1. I cann connect to him and his feelings and after the horrible thing he did to Frankenstein's other creation, he seems to begin to learn to appreciate life in itself, instead of being angry and depressed all the time.

I love the tension between the boss witch and her (first?) daughter and I love every second of Dalton's performance. And the soundtrack of the the show is just incredible!

Now to the story: I wonder, why Vanessa doesn#t warn the others about Ms. Poole? She must recognize her from her past at the house of the Cutwitch! Malcolm is running to his doom with open eyes. The manager of the wax cabinet has evil plans to improve his show at the cost of the "monster" and other "freaks" - I hope, he will find out soo, that this is a very bad idea!

If all things at the wax cabinet go terrible wrong and the daughter will die in the mass panic of the customers (maybe in a fire), I would imagine, that this would be the real test for Frankenstein's creature. Eiter, he will go in pure rage mode and redeem himself (by saving Vanessa?) after that, which could cost his own life, or he will come out stronger.

I'm also enjoying the sideshow excursions (pardon the pun ) this season.
The Cutwife episode was a masterwork IMO, and a tour de force for Eva Green.

The only distraction is the Dorian Gray storyline that seems to have nothing to do (at this time) with the rest of the group.

I don't get what happened with the witch attack. They came in, they threw people around, then... left?

This show has become a beautiful painting. But with no substance. It looks great, sounds great, has superb production values...but man is it boring. The witch storyline is just plodding along with retreads each episode. Talk talk talk boring exposition talk talk hey look the nudie scarred witches attack and just throw things around. And scene.

It's sad really. The cast is superb and the premise has so much potential. I'll stick around for the season but I can see why it will be cancelled due to low ratings.

Watched tonite's episode.

I'm sorry...I have to let it go.
The DG and Frankie storylines I couldn't care less about.
And watching Eva Green's high octane emoting only goes so far.

Is Vanessa suffering from memory loss or do she just need glasses??! First she doesn't recognize the boss witch anymore and now she can't even recognize Mr. Chandler's dead girlfriend???!

And Sir Malcolm is an idiot - sorry.

And I'm done. Yet another boring episode. Two seasons in and the Dorian subplot continues to have no bearing on the show other than shock value. Sadly the most interesting character is the Inspector trying to work the massacre. I hope the show improves because the concept is so darn good. This show has disappointed so much this season I feel like I'm reliving Heroes all over again!

Going back to Orphan Black instead. Only at season 1 end there but so far so much more reliably entertaining.

Unfortunately, Orphan Black season 2 hasn't been quite as good as season 1.

If she only met her one time, and she now has different attire, and hair color, it would be understandable for her not to recognize her.

I'm still onboard, if even just for the production values, and Eva.

I can't believe Timothy Dalton is in his 70's.
