No Salma Hayek gyrating in a bikini with a snake wrapped around her neck = no sale. wink.gif

But what the heck is the "El Rey Network"? Seriously, this channel inflation has got to stop. Just say no to more cable channels. Aren't there enough already??? For the love of god somebody make it stop!

Something Robert Rodriguez created.

Because a series of successively worse and cheap sequels just wasn't enough!

The original was a good movie because of the vampire twist. After that the premise was done.

I couldn't tell from that clip if this series had vampires or not. For sure, it doesn't have Salma. wink.gif

I have the El Rey Network, but only in SD. (Why would any new network be broadcast in SD?)

I also have large displays (70" LED in living room, and 8' projection screen in theatre room) so it has to be pretty compelling stuff to watch non-HD content.

I generally like RR's stuff, but not sure if this will qualify.

I have DirecTV and haven't checked whether it is HD or not.
If it's SD, I won't be watching and will wait for the inevitable BDs.

There is too much "compelling" stuff in HD for me to bother with SD sh_t..wink.gif

Yep, that's me.

Thanks guys. Makes the 150 hours under the needle (so far), and hours in the gym, worth it. wink.gif

BTW...my back is the tattoo shop's FB avatar as well.

Oink, I also have DirecTV, and I've only found El Rey in SD. frown.gif

What little I know is that it will have vampires to some extent. A friend of mine has a limited role on the show and she posted today that she was being fitted for her fangs in the makeup/fx department. I'll give it a try, if nothing else to see how Rafaela's performance is.

You can catch reruns of it at many times today. It will also repeat at 7pm CT next Tuesday before the 8pm CT new episode airs.

You didn't miss much. . .

It looks like it's going to be similar to the plot in the movie but with more detail, including the "Titty Twister". The girl replacing Salma is pretty nice but not as well endowed. I'm going to miss Cheech and Danny Trejo as well, but I'll watch the whole series. I'm hooked.

Few are. wink.gif I'd have cast that court reporter gal from 'True Detective'. Heck, that might have actually gotten me to watch! tongue.gif

I don't even know if TWC is carrying this network, or if it's in HD. If not, like many here, no sale. A dude's gotta' have some standards.

No it's not HD. I lost my standards when I turned 70 but then I spent most of my life watching SD. I can see why you guys only want HD though.

Just to be clear, you're speaking of TWC?

And I suspect nearly everyone participating on this board spent most of their life watching SD. HDTV has only been around in wide use for less than a dozen years. biggrin.gif It's so widespread now we sometimes forget how brief its life has been. Heck, the last 4x3 SD set rolled off the assembly line - what? - 6 years ago?

No I saw it on Directv. I still have an SD 4X3 TV that I watch when I'm exercising but our other TVs are all HD.
