I think there may be a slight problem with their plan. The crux of season 2 was that the mountain men needed to harvest blood from people with more radiation tolerance than them, and the people from the Ark had better resistance than the Grounders, because they were born in space. As such, won't Echo and Emori probably die from this plan? Sure, it's safer for them to go to space than to stay on the ground, but their bodies aren't accustomed to the higher radation levels in space, so they probably can't survive up there.

It's all Barry Allen's fault. He entered the speed force and caused a speed quake that blew up Lian Yu, which ruptured the space time continuum, sending a blast wave into the future that ignited the ozone layer, causing prime fire, allowing a dislodged prison ship from Argus's secret bunker on the other side of the world, which honed in on Clark's radio transmission to pick up survivors. In order to eat them. And make milkshakes out of their brains.

Dazed and confused over high tech.

After Abby destroyed the radiation chamber, they could have tried to make all humans nightbloods anyway. Why they didn't, I'll never know.

Aliens? Where else would they be from since they showed the entire plant engulfed in the fire? But aliens with human writing, not sure where they are going with this.

That human writing showed it to be a prisoner transport ship. Perhaps, in the past, the humans on Earth moved their convicts to another planet or space station. Perhaps, the prisoners have now taken control. Perhaps they are going to be next seasons bad boys... Unified Eathkrew vs Jailkrew....

Yep, there is a lot of splaining to be done next season. Just who was that teenage girl with Clark and where did she come from?

5 minutes before the end of the episode I had concluded the show wasn't renewed and they were about to wrap things up neatly... oops. I read an article over the weekend that said in one of the earlier episodes discussing the origin of nightblood, that it had been engineered for prisoners mining asteroids further out in the solar system. I don't remember that particular conversation but the markings on the ship would indicate that there were survivors from those asteroid mining prison camps. I would also assume that the teenager with Clark was an unknown nightblood that managed to survive the radiation long enough to be found.

Clarke called her a nightblood, so yes, that's clearly what happened. It's the one thing that doesn't need explaining in that strange turn of events at the end.

Now the characters will be closer to the actors' actual ages, but still not quite. ("Clarke" is 27, "Bellamy" is 32.)

^ that's one area where Hollywood pretty much always fails... age discrepancies between the character and the actor portraying them.

Remember Hal Mason (Tom Mason's son) on Falling Skies?
Hal Mason was supposed to be 16yo in season one... Drew Roy was 25yo in 2011 (season 1)! It was painfully obvious that Drew Roy was not a 16yo kid!

Even worse... the actress playing his girlfriend, Sara Carter- was actually 31yo in season one!

There is a big hole in that theory. Let's say that the girl is 15, giver or take a year. Six years ago that would make her 9, give or take a year. She would have had to have had shelter somewhere to shield her from the intense fire that scorched the earth. Getting through that, there is five years of no food. Scorched earth after all.

^ Just that immediate area where Clarke and the girl were located wasn't scorched... and Clarke even mentioned that on the radio broadcast.
Something happened there that protected that small area and it's living creatures?

Finally, the dome makes sense....

My initial thought after seeing that young girl... oh, it's her daughter. Clarke not only made it half burned to death (with no visual scars on her heat blistered face), but she was also pregnant and gave birth to a baby girl all by herself. Nightblood finally kicked in and made her superwomen.

I think she just started farming there once it was safe enough to go outside (which was probably earlier than for non-nightbloods). Nobody else is around to do any farming, so she has the only patch of green in the area, since most other plant life was burned away.

The girl can't be Clarke's daughter, because she's already a teenager, and it's only been six years.

Review the end of the episode again. All of the earth was scorched. I will agree that there was something in the area that allowed it to recover sooner.

Clark made the comment that this was the only patch of green left as everything else she saw was scorched. It was just the first area to recover after 6 years and will eventually expand or more will recover, just like in a real volcanic explosion and forest fires. Everything is scorched and destroyed in real life and a few years later it recovers better than before. There are plants that only sprout/grow after a forest fire. Nature is amazing. This area is just recovering like it does in real life and years form now, more and more will recover.

I just finished watching the last season on Netflix. When I was watching the finale, I didn't realize it was the finale. I just kept hitting, watch next. I wasn't expecting the 5year hiatus to come until next season.

I hate Clarke so much. I wish she got burned alive... How many times has she committed genocide or tried? Everything she does just makes me hate her more. DIE IN A FIRE. Then everything is hunky dory next day.

"I was going to kill your sister, tee hee."
"Oh, that's OK, BFFs!"

Jasper will be missed, his attitude toward the end was much more appealing to watch. Whatever the kids name that plays John Murphy, I also like him much more in the later seasons. I've seen him in a couple other shows and hated him in those, not necessarily his acting, just his face for some reason. I don't know. But, him on this show I like.

Not by me. His act grew tiresome a long time ago.

You are entitled to feel differently, of course.

I don't have a problem with Clarke, but I'm so happy that Jasper is dead. He was such a constant annoyance, and in a post-apocalyptic show where everybody was fighting for survival, it made no sense that people put up with him as long as they did.

I kind of think they did a disservice to the actor. What a crappy character arc.
