Caught the opening episode last night ...
For those who haven't seen it, It is essentially almost an exact copy of E!'s "The Soup" format , with a skew to more SciFi / Science / Nerd / based TV shows, People & movie clips, & similar brief walk-on Cameos ....
It was pretty funny....

I DVR'd it so I'll watch it later. It looks like it's pretty funny and I used to enjoy The Soup, so we'll see if it earns a permanent place on the DVR smile.gif.

I only saw a portion of it but the portion I did see was funny. I will watch again to confirm it continues to be that way.

It was better than I expected, most of the jokes hit the point. The only problem I could see is having to tolerate recent spoilers for hit shows. I had to mute that entire segment on Game of Thrones, I've not yet caught up to the most recent episodes.

I never watched The Soup but I did record in case the reviews were good. After reading yesterdays post here I decided to watch it and I to enjoyed it. It'seems like the kind of show that could run out of gas quickly, but until then I won't bail prematurely.

I haven't watched The Soup (or Talk Soup as I remember it) since John Henson left it. He's still snarky on ABC's Wipeout.

As for Wil, just for fun: "Shut Up, Wesley!" biggrin.gif

Watched the first one, not sure if I like it or not yet. Some things were funny, others were pretty bad. I think the Soup is better, but I do like Wil making fun of himself.

I have seen first two episodes now, and I am undecided. I'll give it one more week before freeing up the half hour on my DVR.

WilliamR and Phrehdd like this.

My very humble setup:
Man Cave:Vizio E500i-A1 "Smart TV" (50-in 1080p 120Hz LED/LCD, has Netflix app.), Blu-ray players (Sony BDP-S3100, old LG BD390), Roku (the original model: N1000), PC (Windows 7), Comcast Internet (25Mbps/5Mbps).
Bedroom:LG 32LV3400-UA TV (32-in 768p 60Hz LED/LCD), HD DVR (Motorola RNG200N), Xfinity Comcast cable (Digital Starter Package), DVD/VHS player.

.This show, like The Soup, is entertaining "when I happen to catch an episode", but I'm not DVRing them every week ...
I caught the 2nd epsiode, it was fine, but not quite as good as the 1st..
This is a show , (for me), to catch while channel surfing or when 'nothing's on' ...

Yeah, I agree, I think one more time. I laughed a couple times in the beginning but then it quickly devolved into stupid stuff. Mix bag for me.

I didn't think the second episode was a funny as the first as well. But it also depends on the source material for the week. I'll continue to be a casual viewer as well. It beats wresting or another lame paranormal hunting or reality show.

I caught the first episode after Continuum on Friday night. Thought it was pretty funny. I like all the off the cuff references. Will continue to watch .....wink.gif
