Watched the first episode and some aspect of it hooked me. With a few scenes characters seemed well developed, I guess as a result of good writing. Nothing ground breaking here, smart, smug rich kid as prime suspect, looks like a lot of cat and mouse moves, but from the previews it appears there is a host of other suspects. I'm in.

Side note as this is an Hd forum, I felt the picture's image felt flat. I have no idea what method they are using but I did not care for the look. In some ways almost felt SD like.

I watched the first episode and won't be returning for any others. I didn't realize it was a serialized series, but it wasn't a compelling show to me in any way.

I enjoyed it. Of course they had me at Bochco.

Big fan of the first season of this idea when Bochco did it back in the 90's with Murder One, so I'll be watching this even though it seems like it has safer casting and isn't aiming as high.

Murder One was ahead of it's time and had an excellent and unconventional lead character but it's only now that viewers and networks have caught up.

Yeah, first season of M-1 was very good. Then the network suits neutered it into a shell of itself in the second season to pander for ratings. Did the exact same thing with another outstanding and unconventional show, 'Boomtown'. Everybody's kind of forgotten about that one, but the first season was some of the best TV I've ever seen. Looked at the same crime from the viewpoint of different characters. Neal McDonough led a terrific cast that included Donnie Wahlberg and Mykelti Williamson.

Anybody still watching? I didn't realize it was a serial either, but that's fine with me. I like Kathleen Robertson, I remember her from Tin Man as DG's older sister Azkadellia.

Anyway, for anybody who watched tonight, who is the actress that played Hannah? The one who came in and talked about getting raped by Eric Blunt when she worked for him. She looks so familiar, but I just couldn't place her? What else has she been in?

I finally found it, Cameron Richardson and looking at her stuff on imdb, I finally realized where I remember her from, it was an old House episode, where she played the super model, it was an interesting case with quite the twist. LOL

I'm watching it. For some reason it seems to be missing something that "Murder One" had, maybe the presence of a Daniel Benzali. James Cromwell is certainly very good, and since we really haven't seen much of him yet it just might get better.

The San Francisco settings are certainly a plus. Robertson was very good in "Boss" which aired on Starz a few years back.

I'm watching it also, but the low ratings have me a bit worried. The overall cast is very good, and Kathleen Robertson has always been one of my favorites.

Anybody still watching? I like this show, I actually like it as much as 'The Killing', I'm just a sucker for good serialized shows, like a big long movie. I guess it's more main stream than 'The Killing', I like all the leads and the chemistry seems good. This is probably the last season, so they better wrap it up though, it better not be one of those Killing season #1 finishes.

I think it's the wife of the pilot, not sure what it was but something she said while on the stand, maybe something to do with the alarm making noise.

Well, the "shocking ending" (as advertised by TNT) didn't shock me at all. Since that was the season finale, I'll miss my weekly Kathleen Robertson fix.

Ref: Season 2 - episode 2

One time while I was in San Francisco on business, I took a road trip out to the area where the point lighthouse is. When I parked and looked at the long walk to get there, I decided not to. If I would have gone out there earlier in the day, instead of late afternoon, I might have taken the walk.

But. it was interesting to see them use that location in the episode.

The Point Bonita lighthouse is an interesting place to visit. On the way there you pass by Battery Lancaster which was part of the Fort Winfield Scott defense of the Golden Gate.

Wow, somewhat eerie how the recent shooting in Charleston echoes the plot of the opening of season 2. Sad.

I do not remember going past Battery Lancaster. Not saying that I didn't, I just don't remember if I did.

Sorry, but I do not agree. The two are totally different. The only common thing was the use of guns.

Show has all the right stuff, bet if it was on another channel say HBO it would have gotten a lot more attention then 22 posts in 1 season and 2 episodes.

I don't know, there was something really wrong with the third episode. Full of all sorts of strange camera moves, inappropriate zooms and pans, poorly timed music cues, bad edits and scenes that ended weirdly. The episode was unpleasant to watch.

I think it's pretty good, I enjoyed the first season and I was wondering after we wrapped the bus massacre storyline up what was going on, but now we've got a new serial storyline going.

Seemed awfully convenient that one of our suspects spotted a certain person close to the victim and the spotted person ends up committing suicide.

The bus massacrer story line is court case now. It looks to 3 crime tales that we are going to be following. I like the show, its the best of the summer season ones right mow.

While I enjoy the show it seems to be too scattered this season with too much going on. Focus is needed.

I've just watched S01E01-S01E08. It seems OK but nowhere near the depth of The Killing IMO - main characters especially are far less interesting and plot far more simplistic with way too much courtroom filler...

The wife & I picked up season one on the freebie first episode and were hooked into buying the next few until we picked up recording a reshowing about episode 7. We liked it enough to pay for the intervening shows...something we never do!

Now, we have watched all season 2 so far. Really nice summer fare. The characters and acting suit us even though the labored plot of "The Union" is stretching it. Seems like a replay of "HR" as the villains in the first seasons of "Person Of Interest," which I found too far fetched also. Throwing in the now seemingly obligatory gay spat with the side story of the defense counsel for the mass murdering punk is a bit off-putting though. The whole thing there is superfluous to anything else in the series even if it is in San Francisco.

Doesn't seem to be much interest here. I made it up to s02E03 but that will it for now at least. I thought the S1 ending was pretty lame - sloppy police work for 9.5 episodes and then the supposedly brilliant killer foolishly confesses in a way you could see coming from a mile away. He really thought dropping clothes on the floor would defeat a recording device??? And there was absolutely no reason to confess even if he could be certain it was safe. Oh, and the girlfriend in the next room - real bright. And I get the impression we were supposed to be surprised that he failed the polygraph? So then I see the "detectives" patting themselves on the back for their "brilliant" work - made me want to throw up.

Season 2 - ridiculously pointless sex scene, and gay lawyer subplot that's an EXACT copy of Broadchurch. The kid killer was interesting - too bad he committed suicide by cop. Then they find out the dead cop was shot by another cop, one apparently too stupid to realize ballistics could match his gun. But not to worry because they're only checking guns of cops who stated in their interviews that they were near the victim! The inanity of it all is mind boggling. How about the on-the-spot promotion to Lieutenant while the former Lt. is out? What happens when he comes back to work?
