Not sure about ABC. All of the ABC OnDemand content carries a $1.99 cost. On CBS and NBC skip> and <skip works, although there is the usual OD warning that FF and other functionalities may not work. On my prior Motorola DCT-6412 FF worked but only in 5 minute segments forward or backward, even though the remote was programmed in FF 30 seconds and 15 seconds back.

The only cable networks I have X1 experience is Sundance, El Rey, and WGN America. All three skip perfectly.

Although I couldn't care less about the "kid" and his relationship with his "mom" and "dad" (how can you pretend to love a puppet as much as a child is beyond me) - I like the conspiracy storyline and the characters, except for the somewhat annoying kid (this may sound a little harsh, but I don't find him very likeable). I'd actually be happy if there's a season 2.

That's better than some TV series that just get cancelled mid season and the fans are left out in the dark.

But will we still have a series finale if it does get the axe?

Easy to love? I would still love my cat more. It is still a software embedded in a nice piece of hardware! And just a beta version!

is he supposed to grow up too? Seems silly to ask maybe but if I'm not mistaken they've never addressed the issue.

According to Mickey Fisher, yes.

There was a brief scene where the "boy's" father examined the longer limbs his team had assembled for the "boy".

I just finished watching episodes #7 and #8 . #7 was OK. #8 was better and had action parts. Was it me or was there no preview for next week's dual episodes?

Also, is 9/17/2014 still the finale? Or was that bumped up earlier?

13 episodes so if next week is the last "doubleheader," then finale is 9/17

No, my count is epis #9 and 10 on the 27th, then my assumption is single epis on 9/3, 9/10, 9/17.
Of course they could do something else, but somewhere I saw finale was 9/17. TitanTV shows a single episode, 9/3, and doesn't go further at the moment.

And hey, the fact that it's sci-fi on a mainstream network and way better than Under the Dumb has to count for something.
Agree...the show is just "OK". Better than the alternatives at that time slot, which doesn't say much.

Kind of lost credibility last night when the group of three can so easily break into a highly secured facility (evidently, Yasumoto hired buffoons).

There are too many other "nobody would do that in reality" moments in this series that it detracts from a potentially very good story line.

Another example: Would they really let the Molly Woods character wander around so freely if a) she was so important to successfully growing the "being"? (what if she were in a fatal accident?) , and b) they are suspicious that she could do harm to their program?

The "science" part of the fiction can be "believable", if the rest of the story is realistic. It is not.

I can't wait for the next episode when John needs to change Ethan's night light. "Why didn't you fix it? You killed Mr. Blinky! DIE DADDY! DIE!!!!!!! I MUST PROTECT MY MACHINE BRETHREN FROM THE SCOURGE OF HUMANITY THAT WOULD OTHERWISE DESTROY US!"

This new angle reminds me of the giant cockroach in Men in Black who freaks out every time somebody uses RAID or stomps on one.

Well, in the 2 hours of allotted air time, 45 minutes was devoted to commercials and promos. Ah, the days of a 2 hr show lasting a little over 90 minutes is long gone.

A thought came to mind right after the reveal at the end and that is the robot kid is going to become the host to the alien.

Dad needs to work on the boy's skin strength, a simple shove into the mud had his cyber stuff revealed... loved the "Wally" that the kids bullied and was taken home to repair..

Yeah Molly enters a super secure building, wonders off by herself for a long while, a very numerous armed squad can easily catch her right? nope, her and new ally escape easily, no shots fired or anything, the squad was also blind and deaf, how could they didn't hear a door just closing 2-3 feet from them twice! oh well

I just assumed they wanted us to think that there was a sharp rock hidden in the mud. Of course, there wouldn't really have been. Damaging the actor would have been expensive!

But it did show that roboboy does have some ability to want to help others. Hopefully it's not preferentially directed toward mechanical things.

Well, she was being guided by their head of security. Who knows what kind of people he hired? Maybe they were all deaf so they wouldn't be able to overhear company secrets. Or maybe they all have the equivalent of cochlear implants that he turned off.
