[Do all characters named Axl must be idiots?]

This is a New Zealand comedy-drama series about four brothers, raised in heartland New Zealand, who also happen to be the living incarnations of Norse Gods.

The first episode reminded me of Eureka (and that's a good thing). Much better than Dominion.

Gave this a shot. Not sure yet. Shows like this seem to do alright initially because of the reveal of the secret. However, not sure I like the main character Axl. Kind of a ****** so far. They have a lot of things set up. Like the idea that their "god-like" powers are pretty wimpy. Of course, that all may change.

I pulled down the first two episodes of the original NZ airings and even with the skin and swear words intact, I just could not bring myself to pull down any further episodes.

Finally, a show I don't care for.

BTW, there was no way I was going to suffer through the hack job that SyFy was going to do to this show. Now I won't have to. :D

Anybody still watching? I enjoy the show a lot, it took a few episodes to get into the humor and story I guess, but it's on the DVR now. Looks like Season #1 ends Friday night with the final two episodes airing at 11:00pm and 12:00 pm ET. Anybody know if Syfy plans on airing the other seasons?

YOu would be surprised. I know they called a gay person a "puff" . No idea what that is but it was censored out. Male nudity censored out. Cuss words nothing big. Stuff I dont know what it means since im in the US and we have our own terms.

The two part finale didn't record for me but I watched it on Syfy. At first I was cringing about Axel and Gaia because it seemed so stupid television but I was happy with the twists and turns even though I knew the marriage resolution. Didn't see the last one coming. I'm enjoying this series. Wish I could watch it unedited and binge on it up to season 3.

"The Almighty Johnsons." Sounds like the title to a porn film.

I got through it and thought it wrapped up satisfyingly. The Mike arc was kinda lame both with his attitude and claims. I guess they needed some tension for the final hunt for Frigg. Mike did solve his problem with getting to Frigg pretty well though I guess it wouldn't be too hard to figure out something. The finale made all the maneuvering fairly useless anyhow. Got to wonder what would happen next as they all are pretty much losers in that their gods have wrecked their lives and occupied their time. The result with Michelle indicates that there was some sense of obligation to them.
