Married on FX

About the show:

Married is a half hour comedy about being miserably in love. Russ (Nat Faxon) and Lina Bowman (Judy Greer) can barely remember what life was like before kids, debt, and suburbia rained on their romance -- but every once in a while, in between the arguments about their declining sex life and who's driving carpool, they are reminded what drew them together in the first place -- they're best friends. The show also features Russ and Lina's friend AJ (Brett Gelman), who is recently divorced and pretending he's over his wife, and their other friend Jess (Jenny Slate), who is married to a much older man who can't keep up with her.

Married was created by Andrew Gurland (The Virginity Hit, Mail Order Wife), who wrote and directed the pilot script and serves as Executive Producer/Showrunner, alongside Executive Producers Paul Young and Peter Principato. The series is produced by FX Productions.

'Married' premiers Thursday, July 17, 2014 at 9:00 PM CST only on FX.

LOL.

I wonder why this isn't on FXX. I thought most comedies were switched to FXX while the dramas remained on FX.

Caught the premier. Nat Faxon is so nerdy and dorky! I laughed out loud (as well as cringed) when he told his mistress the dog (Charlie) got hit by a car. His mistress was pretty hot, shame he stopped making out with her to answer his wife's phone call. It's a little silly but I enjoyed it. Will watch this for sure

Undecided. I'll watch for a few more but there was not enough Judy Greer in the pilot and all she got to do was sit at home.

I liked the premiere. It offers just enough of a different take on very familiar spousal topics. The general premise has been done an innumerable amount of times in film and television, but this has a somewhat unique quirkiness and raunchiness.

The cast is excellent. It is especially nice to see John Hodgman, Brett Gelman and Jenny Slate in supporting roles.

Totally agree. Great supporting cast rolls. Brett Gelman is great, it's a shame we don't see more of him.

Checked it out because I have a thing for Judy Greer but she's barely in it and plays a shrew. The supporting cast is I think too good for this show.

Ridiculously unfunny for 90% of the episode.

Far preferred Satisfaction (USA)
really unsettling tone , albeit some pedestrian acting

Quit failing to flip the switch

I thought Nat and the supporting cast were great, and I love how it was shot like an indie film. I'll echo the complaint about Greer. I've always loved her and it will be criminal if she continues to be so underused. I really enjoyed the pilot though, so I'm in for however many more eps they got. I also love seeing Jenny Slate in shows (her new movie Obvious Child is great btw).

Yeah I like Judy Greer, was hoping to see her much sexier but she gets to play the wife, maybe later... the "mistress" the husband got was sexy as hell..

Going to have to ask FX for some money, I didn't authorize them to show my life on TV LOL

RIP Mom, we always love you 8/18/13

My car was stolen last night. I went into the store for 10 minutes! Came out to my car missing. I didn't watch Married or You're the Worst due to my mood. I was pissed off so I just went to bed without watching TV

Hopefully I'll catch the shows this weekend.

Sorry to hear that, U hope everything turns out in your favor. I also didn't watch You're the Worst, just not feeling it for both shows.

That really sucks. I sure hope that you did not leave the car running when you went into the store. I see that happen much more often than one might expect, even during the hot months.

Haven't caught up with the first show yet but I thought the second was quite good. Judy is given quite a bit to do and acquitted herself very nicely. It's darkish: No one is very cuddly and I'd be surprised if it makes it to season two, but it's a stab at comedy reflecting life as it tends to be rather than what we all wish it was like.

You're the Worst is even darker, with nobody very likable. I liked it too. Even lower chance of surviving to a second season.

If I liked Judy on regular garments, this one she's dressed up, way more attractive, no matter how tired/drunk/whatever I was I'll undo her dress.. LOL

I'm bad with names, so the Dad didn't drink that much he was able to drive and pickup his daughter from her sleepover, no problems? I thought I saw him drinking most of the time or my eyes deceive me?

Perhaps since he was intending to drive home, he stuck with non-alcoholic drinks anyway.  That, or there was a continuity error.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't need to see my life on tv to depress me. I'm out.
Say goodbye to these!

I thought tonight's episode was outstanding. Especially the Jenny Slate/Paul Reiser storyline. I liked the main couple's story, but I thought the B story was even funnier.

What was remarkable about the most recent episode is that Paul Reiser actually made me smirk a little. If that is not a testament to decent writing then I don't know what is.

I liked the recent episode. This time I was more of a fan of the main storyline instead of the b story. I didn't find much funny about Greer and Slate this week. The show is hilarious, but it is quite enjoyable.

Great episode last night. Love the supporting cast!

That one guy (the child's dad) is so familiar. What's his name again? He is a good actor
