The Fall S2

I searched but couldn't find a thread. Anyway, the second season of Netflix's series is out. Highly recommended. I posted the trailer to the first season for those not familiar with the show.

Combine with the old thread if there is one, or delete.

Very good show, if you can stand to watch another show about a serial murderer.

Just finished watching Series 2 of The Fall this evening. To call it "dark" would understate the case. I thought that Gillian Anderson, as the bitch goddess ice queen senior cop, was wonderful and that Jamie Dorman, as a charismatic serial killer, was just as good. It was a great season of television!

FANTASTIC!

I watched S2E1 earlier in the week, and sat down last night to watch another two episodes. Well, I ended up watching all five remaining episodes in one burst (there was one bathroom break, but I digress). Couldn't (and didn't want to) stop!!

I thought this second season storyline was SUPERB! Written and acted brilliantly. Reasonable closure, with no silly fabricated cliff-hanger at the end. Yes, I can't wait to find out if Paul and boytoy survive, but I'm totally satisfied with the current season ending. Terrific last episode.

The Fall is Hannibal minus the Grand Guignol plus a hero(ine) who isn't a mental wreck. Good stuff.

It was very good, although it had been soooo loooong since I saw S1 that it took me almost the entire six episodes to get back up to speed and recall what had happened.

The way they ended S2 it seemed they thought there might be a S3, but last I heard that hadn't been decided.

I don't want them dragging it out like the killing. I mean what else are they going to do, have him escape from prison. I hope Stella moves on to another case.

Good show, I'm still not sold on her dialect though. I know she grew up [sort of] in England and lives there now too, but she doesn't sound natural to me. Anyway looking forward to SE3 if it becomes a reality.

I just got done with The Fall and liked The Killing more. TF seemed like Manhunter Lite but was laser focused and really good. I prefer the darker energy in TK but concede the narrative was not as tight. If TF is canceled I can live with the ending and you could leave TK at the end of season 2 also and have a nice 2 season run. Two very good shows with a different take on the crime genre.

I've seen some indications that a third season was being filmed but, so far, no formal announcement that the show is coming back. Bottom line: who knows?
