Lol. It could be a good replacement for Constantine. I like the idea of Beelzebub quitting his job and moving to L.A., which really isn't much different than his previous location.

Actually, L.A. is considerably different than Planet Wabo.

Who needs water when floating in margaritas (see Last Man on Earth)?

BTW, when does this series start?

Could be amusing for a bit but not sure how an entire series will work. I'll probably give it a shot.

I could use a margarita or three right about now.

Lucifer airs in 2016. Plenty of time to find your blender and lost shaker of salt.

From the sound of it, they're taking the cosmic themes and epic, eternity-spanning supernatural storyline of the Sandman and Lucifer books and turning them into...

a police procedural.

Apparently the pilot episode has leaked online. I haven't seen it, but from what I've read people are saying it's pretty good. Too bad this isn't scheduled until 2016.

Fox? That narrative of Lucifer being in charge has been around (and culturally is far more popular) long long before Fox was even a concept in someone's mind.

Anyone interested in watching this can probably set their dvrs now as it is within the two week schedule period.

Another genre show on Fox.

Another genre show on Fox that has been turned into a cop show, even though the original story is different.

Usual Fox MO, so I expect the usual Fox outcome.

Kind of bored tonight so I tuned in. Thought it was OK, kind of quirky, on some level it reminded me a bit of Limitless. I think I'll be back to see how it develops.

Not so much limitless, but The Mentalist definitely. I kept thinking that Lucifer was channeling Patrick.

There was a joke about this show on Supernatural last week or the week before. Someone (I can't remember who) asked Lucifer what he was going to do, and he answered something like, maybe go to LA and solve crimes.

Luke

Evil is charming and beautiful. It makes you doubt yourself. It asks for one small compromise after another until it whittles you down, and it functions best when no one believes in it.-JOA

Spot on. As I was watching it, I was thinking they are turning this into another Fox buddy cop procedural. How many ways can they spin the straight cop with a fish out water partner?

It is funny that every time I see one of these Fox shows I think of a Bart Simpson quote "Take an idea and give it a Fox attitude." That is butchering the original quote, but gets the point across.

Questionable whether this formula will hold interest. It was cute in the first show. Lucifer gets to make idiots answer his questions and then shags the therapist? How can that get old?
