I also have a lip-sync problem from WUSA-DT, Washington. It's slight, but enough to notice and irritate. The 5.1 is fine and steady though. Is everyone experiencing this, or do some affiliates have the ability to adjust sync from the network feed?

Is anyone having any problems with the DD 5.1 in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. When the singers sing I seem to be getting the vocals all out of the left rear surround with nothing but background noise in the rear right surround and then the front have a mix of everything but the main vocals seem to be in the rear left surround. Also too, I'm on Time Warner CBS not OTA

--Noticed the problem with Faith, Seems to be gone with Vanessa Carlton now.

This is some of the best HD stuff I ever seen and heard. There is a slight delay on audio in Detroit but not really that distracting.

This is one of those times where you realize that all the money spent on this stuff really pays off.

Thanks CBS and Bob Ross,

Rick

Only 2.0 here, but in sync. No video drops or audio drops. Via TWC.

First half hour sounds great! The emphasis on 2 channel front is only natural to me. Great to hear the audio catch up with the video quality in a live broadcast. Listen and learn ABC. Thanks CBS! Thanks audio tech's!
You've worked hard, and it shows.

Yes the audio/video timing needs to be set. The local station has a problem

There were some sync problems in Dallas shortly after the new equipment was installed. The engineer said that there were some hardware conflicts with the network and worked with CBS to fix them. No synch problems now.

5.1 is great. A friend of mine who is over to watch just pointed my rear speaker and said, "Someone is still clapping!" after John Mayer was introduced.

Not if you're being subjected to it in St. Louis :( Oh well, at least we aren't on the upconvert as I type, looks good anyway.

I'm at a loss for words. The Carlton, Mayer, Taylor set was spectacular. The colors just jump out at you, nearly 3D. This is why I bought this gear to view HD!

Beautiful production and picture quality. {vent on} I'm a little ticked that CBS let Houston fall through the cracks for 5.1, though. If they were aiming for the top 25 markets, wouldn't they make sure the 4th biggest city is taken care of? {vent off} Anyway, even without 5.1 this sets a very high standard for the other networks to follow.

I see that they are keeping up the tradition of giving awards to those who are playing at the grammys.

I must say this looks and sounds absolutely gosh damned fabulous. Unbelievable and incredible sound. These acoustic versions rock. Wow. Amazing close up shots. Every expression is crystal clear. I keep hearing people yell behind me from the balcony. I love it.

GREAT JOB CBS!!!!
