I really think Avril should quit performing live... the first time I heard her live was on MTV at the Rock and Roll hall of fame. I was waiting for tonight to see if she sounded as bad as that night and well, I guess you be the judge.

who was singing while the camara paned down and I saw a hair in between the piano keys?

The answer at the end of the show!:)

I counted over 24 projectors for the grammies. (figure qx1's or something of that nature) Their throw must be over 75 feet.

I do see screendoor in the background while the artist is singing, thought it was my projector.

Woah - just had some sort of glitch here in Chicago during the solo in Avril's number. But still - a great broadcast.

Flicks? Here's my collection. And I've seen a lot, too.

Fantastic, superb, dazzling,...not enough superlatives to describe how great this show looks and sounds. This will be a watershed moment for HDTV in 2003.

She sang something that caused them to lose the delay...they're gonna have to catch back up again. Not a dropout.

Normally I would be watching this on the Satellite backhaul without the delay, and I would be able to tell you what happened, but now that it's in HD, I'm not.

After those remarks from Robin Williams, I guess you can't blame them for sticking in a delay. :)

I wonder, were his words bleeped out on the SD broadcast?

there were rumors of performers doing political protests. cbs caught wind of it, so maybe this......18 year old had something written on the inside of her coat. cbs was prepared for her!

Should've thought harder before posting that. Eminem is on tonight. Of course they're on a delay. :)
But the sound does seem to be synced back up now.

grammys looking pretty good. 5.1 surround sound outta philly is pretty good. a few places where the mixing is kind of off, but overall it's excellent. PQ is some of the best i've seen, not mention the how the colors of the backdrops are just flying off the screen....WOW! minor pixelation occurs only during fast motion where the encoders are maxed out. great job cbs.....thank you!

Good... I hear enough from 18 year olds and entertainers to have formed a very solid opinion on the worth of their comments...

Hmmm....

This is like watching the Playoff games on CBS and waiting to see how ABC will do with the Superbowl.

Now...how will ABC do with the Oscars?

Anybody?

Please don't judge Coldplay based on this. I'm a big fan and I'll see them at the Bowl. This is far and away, one of their worst performances ever, of one of their weaker songs. The gimmick with the philarmonic failed miserably. Their albums (all two of 'em) are much much better.

stereo music, baby.
