I also understood that they tested this rule in Seattle and Pittsburgh last year. I read lots of threads on the TiVo forum last year complaining about this only from people in those markets. The rule may have been in place everywhere but was only enforced in Seattle and Pittsburgh.

As of NFL Week 2, I have not been able to find a single game broadcast by DirecTV in HD on the NFL Sunday Ticket channels.

I'm certain that the CBS HD game was not broadcast in my area in Week 1, as the local CBS affiliate ran the Dolphins game instead of the Chargers game.

Has DirecTV falsely advertised its offering here?

No. If you sub to NFL ST, CBS HD games have been available to all subscribers. There have been no blackouts for the CBS HD games.

Perhaps you don't have the proper equipment to get the HD channels. Do you have all 3 LNB's on your dish?

In addition to Ken's suggestion, remember also that the CBS-HD or FOX-WS games are on channels 70, 71 and 72, *not* the typical 700-numbers.

I'm new to DirecTV, have NFL Sunday ticket and HD package, I don't have channels 70-72. Anyone know where to find the HD game of the week for the Philly DirecTV market?

Late on Saturday night or early Sunday morning I notice 70, 71 & 72 appearing in my program guide. This is where you'll find the HD game and both Fox Widescreen games. At least on my Sony HD200, the channels go away shortly after the games are all over for the day, and then reappear again the following week.

Ch.s 70, 71 and 72 are programmed to only showup on Sunday morning. 70 is the CBSHD station and 71 and 72 are the FOXHR widescreen stations. You will not find them active any other day.

Waited all week for the 16:15 E.T. game between Cleveland and Denver. Finally got my transcoder and cabling set, and my PJ tweaked. Sit down with the popcorn and friends to watch on Comcast cable in Lancaster, PA and NO HD, only the 4x3 NTSC crap on the digital channel!! Comcast stinks. They have ESPNHD and claim to have NBC and CBS, but I have yet to see them. No ABC as yet in HD. Worse yet, if I was to call some one and ask why, I wouldn't have the faintest idea where to start. Have you ever tried to call them? Good luck. This is weak. I wish I had never tried to get HD.

the denver game was supposed to be the HDTV game but they changed it[those of us who got a noon game on fox got the shaft since the noon cbs game was the HDTV game instead]

If a movie or concert video or a TV show isn't on blu ray it darn well should be.

The only widescreen game I saw in Atlanta via OTA or DirecTV was the Sunday night game on ESPN.

What gives?
