I just tuned to HDNet and noticed that Sheryl Crow is on. Curious what if anyone else is eeing this. I think it looks and sounds great! I guess tonight was the first night for this show.

Actually this is a different version of the same concert. They're doing some different songs than what was shown on VOOM. Sheryl sure makes you glad you have HD :p

Man that was a great show. Although the switching to different angles and bad focusing started to get to me, but otherwise, great job HDNet!

I watched it last night also. The sound was great, and the picture was fabulous.

The constant angle switching was the most annoying factor. I've seen this in a lot of concert videos. There was one time last night where there was a great guitar solo and they kept switching to everyone else except the guitar player. Pretty crappy!

This broadcast beat the non-anomorphic dvd hands down. However, I agree with everyone about the editing. Really annoying.

A great broadcast, was mostly watching the Sopranos though. Add Sheryl Crow to the list of stars who BENEFIT from HD. Wow, she is a beautiful woman! Re-braodcast is tonight (Monday) at 7 pm EDT.

I liked the part on Voom where she was getting all hot and sweaty after a few songs and they were trying to pry her leather jacket off her and she says "Now you know how hard it is to get me out of my clothes". LMAO.

You can tell that she is truly talented in that her voice is IDENTICAL live as compared to CD's, radio, etc.

Not like some of the schlock I have listened to at the Grammy's, etc.

Not to mention a natural beauty as evidenced by the scrutiny of 1080i HD.

My HD DNS days are kaput!

I thought it was a great show and pq. It was funny when someone whistled and it was in the rear speakers. My wife also asked me if I thought she was pretty. I said now I do.

HDNet has shown 2 of m wifes favorite female performers, Sheryl Crow and Allison Krauss. Now if they can just get DMB she'll be set for life.

Why are they showing only half the concert? I have the DVD and it's two hours long, but this HDNet set is only an hour?

She is one of the most talented artists of this generation. Great voice, writes beautiful songs (herself), plays three instruments (guitar, bass, and piano), and puts on a hell of a show. I've been a big fan of her since 1994's Tuesday Night Music Club.

Now Mark, show the entire concert, please!!!

It's a Soundstage production and on Voom they are showing parts 1 & 2 of Tom Petty so we are getting the whole 2 hours. :p

Just a little background...The show and DVD were filmed over 2 sold-out nights at the 5,000-seat Fraze Pavillion in Kettering, Ohio, a suburb of Dayton. It is a unique venue in that it is smack dab in the middle of a residential neighborhood! Retirement homes on one side, apartments on the other. Ms. Crow indicated that it was one of the best places she's ever performed at.

Good show,

although some of the camera takes where annoying, it was like they took the camera when it wasnt live on the main source (the camera usually acts like that when they're not live, the focusing to adjust for zooms etc..)

And yes I would agree that DMB would be one of the best HD Concerts ever, Was the central park concert shot with HD cameras because the DVD is 16x9? Bring on DMB!!!

The Fraze is a pretty cool place to watch a concert...It is about a mile from my house!

yes the DMB show from central park was shot in HD[when anyone'll show it that way is anyone's guess]

If a movie or concert video or a TV show isn't on blu ray it darn well should be.

If you mean Sheryl Crow yes, that show was great. I still have it on VHS :o

I believe the entire Storytellers series was shot on film (at least it has the look of film) so it wouldn't be a problem to be transferred to HD if someone wanted to.

Got to see the whole show last night, after catching the last 20 minutes first time it was on. They really need to show the whole concert - one hour was just not enough.

I did get some audio drop-outs last night during this show (watching on D*)...anyone else?

Back from the dead
I've been snoozing and missed the PBS soundstage of Sheryl Crow. I just caught in on HDNet (C'Mon America 2003). Wow, what a concert. Didn't realize how many of here songs I like...and how talented she is in real life. Excelent in concert. And of course it sounded like I was there.
