Not on Zeniths it isn't. WABC DT has apparently once again thrown the "No Zenith Reception" switch again. The Zenith shows a carrier signal but no picture and the RCA DTC100 does show a picture.

I watched WABC-DT last night for a lttle while. You might need to rescan you DirecTV STB. The psip information changed a little and I had to re-add the channel to my Dish6000 to obtain a picture.

It was on as early as 5 PM when I got home from work. The upconverted images of the local news was very blurry compared to the other NY channels.

I tried to watch ABC-DT (from NYC transmitters) last night but was unable to get a signal higher than 26 (no picture/no sound). When BLUE was almost over, the signal jumped to 34 and I got a picture/sound but only briefly. However, I receive PIX(82),CBS(72),Fox(82),NBC(76) with no problems-solid picture and sound. I have the Proscan 38000 with builtin tuner. I also tried rescanning for channels, but this made no improvement until about 1/2 hour later. Were they running at lower than normal power or from a different transmiting antenna? Does my antenna need repositioning even though I get strong signals for NBC, and PIX? Any ideas...

I also couldn't receive NYPD Blue last night. I typically get a very strong signal. Perhaps they were broadcasting at a reduced level. Maybe someone has some inside info?!

My signal on my Mits for WABC was 100. I live in Rockland County north of the city with very bad terrain between me and the transmitter. The highest signal I have ever gotten on the other channels is about at 75. Typically my signal for CBS is about 45, so my reception is marginal at best. For some reason my ABC signal is very strong. Maybe the transmitters are very directional at the moment.

WABC-DT was comming in clear at about 80% on Long Island. Although my Dish 6000 didn't pick up the main channel and an errror message came up saying "Generating sub-channels". "BLUE" came in clear like a clear blue sky!

Saturday 7PM and they are on the air. Hopefully we will get to see an ABC HD movie for the first time tonight.

Anybody else think that the picture is terribly bright tonight? Upconverted 'Jeopardy' looks terrible. Let's hope the movie is not like that!

Is WABC is transmitting right now? I'm never able to pick it up. I just want to confirm that it's on channel 45.

Yes, channel 45 it is. 'Dr. Doolittle' is on right now in HD. I got a terrible lip-sync problem, though.

I also had a terrible lip sync problem on Dr. Dolittle. Not even close to being correct. The sound preceded the action by at least a second. Also the non HDTV before the movie was extremely bright and washed out.

Wasn't able to tune in ABC Saturday night from mid-town Manhattan using a Silver Sensor UHF antenna. I was getting a signal reading with a fair amount of multipath using a graphics display on my set, but no images. A few nights earlier I did tune in NBC and Leno's show--with a very stable signal.

Anyone hear anything about different transmitter antenna orientations, or power differences between ABC and NBC...or when they're going full power? Thanks.

I also experienced lip-sync problems. The picture did not seem bad. Having seen this already on HBO-HD or SHO-HD, I did not watch it very long wit h the lip-sync issue.
