Our local cable carries Fox Sports Network HD. Perhaps BIG Fox Network could provide the HD feed to the FSN. Would be nice.

That was then, this is now. Whole new opportunity for someone else to step up to the plate and deliver (pun intended).

My Magic 8 Ball says:

As it stands now, yes the Allstar game will be in HD on DirecTV and OTA in some local markets, definatly not all. As for which, i don't know yet. This will not be the "Launch" of FOX HD, that will be later in the year. It will most probably be one of those special events on channel 84, but it will be your opourtunity to view FOX in HD for the first time. The anticipated start of FOX HD programing is in August with the new Fall Prime-Time programs.

If what dm145 says is true, I will hope that FOX O&Os in large markets with a splicer system already set up will be included.

Regardless of what the truth is, I prefer to think of Ken H. as someone who not only reports the various HD happenings, but also influences their outcomes. So, in my mind, when Ken says 'Update In Progress' what he really means is that he's negotiating with D* and Fox to make this happen. Please don't bother responding with any more accurate rebuttals, I prefer this view of the world.

I like that view to. The HD voice for the common man. Well, common man with HD capability, that is.

Just reached the cell phone of a Fox Sports executive out in Houston and inquired about the broadcast format for the game. He said they ARE doing the game in 720P HD as sort of a "dry run" or "dress rehearsal" for the rollout of NFL football in HD in September.

It has been common knowledge that the game will be produced in HD and that Houston has a special feed. As of noon, we have NOT received any word on if the rest of the network will have access to it.

All opinions expressed (unless otherwise noted) are the posters and NOT the posters employers. The poster in NO WAY is/will speak for his employers.

Assuming the weather is kind of cloudy and maybe rainy, I'll be able to watch the game on KRIV too.

Hopefully D* will have the game on 84 so I can do some comparisons.

According to an engineer in WTTG-FOX Washington DC "~NO~ Fox affiliate will be broadcasting tomorrow's All-star game in HD. He added that we should not expect any HD broadcast from Fox until middle to late August when they plan to do some NFL pre-season games. "

Happiness is: Jessica Alba in HD

How about the TOC in NYC?
BTW, will the picture quality be at all better by virtue of its production, if not broadcast, in HD?
