Yep. That's the one.

Has anyone seen even a small part of the monster thing?

I think The Tempest was a spoken/written-word version of the great caveman play, Hands and Body Parts Rotating Rapidly in a Dervish-Like Manner. (Lots of grunting in that one.)

There is no difference in HDMI cables. If you can see the picture without visible dropouts or sparklies, the cable is working at 100%. No other cable will display a better version of that picture. You're simply wrong if you think there is a better digital cable than one that is already working.

My guess is that the monster is either Godzilla or a 500 pound killer canary.

It didn't eat the captain.

Weren't the handcuffs a little large for a human?

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Well I broke down and downloaded the advance episode also, it's been hard to keep quiet. I will be watching it again for the HD version. Now I'm more anxious to see the third episode than I was to see the second.

Sad... very sad...

Why would you want to ruin it for yourself... For me, seeing it first in HD is reason enough not to try and find a pirated copy... geesh...

I'll just have to wait for about 20 minutes after it starts tonight so I can fast-forward through the commercials...

Hmmm... if it's going to be the main contributor to the mystery of the whole island, then probably not for awhile... maybe not even this season...?

There was a guy or gal earlier in this thread that said he knew what it was and he had only seen the first 3 episodes, So my guess would be within the next 2 episodes.

Amen dude!
Great stuff for an ABC drama. Heck if this was a movie I would be in the theater on opening day!

Amazing twists and turns - the thing with Kate really caught me off guard!

I just want to say (a friendly ) "screw you" to everyone who is naysaying this show in the thread. In my book this is BY FAR the best new show of the season!

Nice Job ABC!

Anybody notice what was in the comic book?

Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)
Spoiler
Warning: Spoiler! (Click to show)

A picture of a giant polar bear on one page, and a picture of an alien and some superheroes on another. Well guess what attacked them? Is the island haunted by something that can take the shape of whatever it sees? Maybe it can take the shape of a dinosaur because it's been around for millions of years?

I also think the old loony guy knows what's going on.

I'm not trying to be a naysayer ( ), I actually think this is a great show so far, but one thing I have been wondering about is if there are these large "things" running around on this tropical island (think mud), why have there been no footprints or tracks discovered? At first when Kate and Charlie found the pilot's wings last week, I thought that was what the real discovery would be, was some sort of track in the mud. But I guess they don't want to reveal too much too soon and so no clues yet.
There are some real surprises in store for us obviously!!

That Druggie guy with the accent needs to be the next one wiped out along with that annoying blonde girl, in the end the three remaining people will be The party of five guy, the Kate girl and The iraqui guy ,all the rest are victims i would bet.
