FOX-HD E/W (86/87) should be live (active) NOW.

Can someone confirm?

D* has the receiver guide online at this time for these channels. It was TO BE ANNOUNCED. When that guide is operational it is only a matter of a shot period of time.

I'll do another photo is a few minutes to show you what I mean.

They had the guide data loaded a while ago and it was available online, but it still never launched. You're thinking that because it's been added back, that it's ready? They could've just added the data back just cause

So they've switched Fox back to 85/86?

The online guide and the receiver guide are two different things.

But nevermind I was just informed that D* still has a problem and won't be able to go live tonight.

Do they have the O&O and DNS situation straightened out for tonight's game?

If so, what's the verdict?

No FOX HD showing up on my HD Tivo. I have DNS service and get 388 & 389. Did have 88 & 89 until the movie started.

I checked my guide and Fox is 88 and FoxW is 89 (I have waivers). At 8PM, there was a "Sports Center" type show on in HD. They were talking about some pitcher (not sure who or for which team) that put on high tops and was warming up because he wanted to pitch. I turned it back over to Joan of Arcadia, then back on the first commercial. It now says "No Signal". Wierd.

That was the basebal pre-game show. The game was called off due to rain, so the channel was turned off.

Not all that weird.

I Just watched my Yankees beat the snot out of the Red Sox on Fox. I was watching via OTA antenna, then I saw Fox was on my channel guide so I switched to channel 88. It had the typical satellite delay but looked just as good as the OTA version of Fox. This is good news! All we need is ABC and we are set.

Can't wait until January for some HiDef "24"!

unfortunately we're not quite there yet. ch. 88 is for the MLB playoffs ONLY unless/until D* resolves whatever is delaying the full-time Fox-HD ch. keep checking this thread-looks like Bschneider is gonna keep us advised of any changes.

Wow, i thought we had FOx on channel 88 for good, but low and behold,
this morning its not showing the guide. Sadly i guess we do only get it
for the MLB playoffs. I was hoping to check out the football, but i'll
have to go with OTA.

WTF does this mean. HD for baseball only? This makes no sense at all. That is unless directv is trying to encourage (!?) people to pay $240 for Sunday Ticket. Hmmm.. curious, isn't it? Thanks again Directv.

Lance, what are you talking about? The baseball coverage is on now on 88/89, and has nothing to do with Sunday Ticket. Fox HD is not on full time now, just the baseball in DNS and O&O markets.

That is my point. selective programming from fox? If directv can broadcast portions of fox programming, why not all of it. Especially when you can get NFL on fox in HD on the sunday ticket stations.

ease up man... D* did us a favor by adding 88/89 to show the MLB playoffs in HD until they can get the full time FoxHD feeds up and available to customers. the only reason you saw football is b/c some of the games ran over their time slot thus delaying the start of the baseball game(s).

Lance, see the sticky thread on 'Fox coverage of ALCS/NLCS'. As was said here and elsewhere, Fox hoped to get Fox HD/E-W up in time for the playoffs (last Tuesday). There were legal problems (we all think), and the plans changed to 88/89 being available for folks in O&O markets and those that have DNS (but there have been some problems with that).

In general: 88/89 are up for slated times of MLB games only. We all hope Fox HD E-W goes up ASAP, of course! And, I, also, thank bschneider for his info!
