Sadly, It was canceled.

There's some leaked footage out there on the net that looks incredible, so it's a real shame.

Have to wait for the real SciFi channel - BBCA - to try and get something going. SyFy is moving heavily towards men flexing and posing in Speedos and shows about lame ghost stories.

Yeah I watched BSG when it originally aired and read and participated some on the SciFi forums at the time it originally aired. It got very nasty in season 4 as the finale got closer, and then the finale itself. I will say that experience ruined my original experience of watching season 4 but on a complete series re watch afterwards without that noise to read I enjoyed season 4 much more as the final piece of the masterpiece.

Be careful of BBCA, they did a lot of cuts on BSG when they broadcast it, little things but that annoyed me somewhat. Get it on the DVDs so you can experience it correctly.

I have zero confidence that Syfy will ever air that pilot/movie for Blood and Chrome as promised.

Wasdn't there a rumor that it would end up as a web series?

The was reported on Blastr a few months ago. It seems that as more time goes by they slowly diminish the series.

Started rewatching some of this series after BBCA HD went live on DTV. Its as good the second time through as the first. Really miss a top notch space epic series.

TV Notes
‘Battlestar Galactica’s Ron Moore To Adapt ‘A Knight’s Tale’ As Drama Project For ABC
By Nellie Andreeva, Deadline.com - Sep. 21, 2012

EXCLUSIVE: A Knight’s Tale, the 2001 feature starring Heath Ledger, is headed to the small screen in a series adaptation written by Battlestar Galactica developer/executive producer Ron Moore. ABC has bought the project, from Sony Pictures TV, with a script commitment.

The Knight’s Tale feature was a 14th century romantic adventure set in the world of jousting to a music score of popular rock songs that centered on William Thatcher (Ledger), a peasant posing as a knight. (See the original tralier below.) The series is expected to stay close to the premise and the style of the movie — it is described as a medieval fantasy incorporating modern music and themes that follows the journey of a young man who starts out impersonating a knight of the realm and ends up becoming one. In addition to writing, Moore is executive producing with his producing partner at Tall Ship Prods. Maril Davis as well as the film’s writer-director-producer Brian Helgeland and producer Todd Black. The title is part of the Sony library as the movie, which featured Ledger in his first lead role, was produced by Columbia Pictures. It was a worldwide box office success, turning the 22-year-old actor into a movie star.

For CAA-repped Moore, the project stems from his new overall deal with Sony TV he inked in March. At ABC, A Knight’s Tale would be a good fit for hit Once Upon A Time and other fantasy dramas the network has in development for next season, including A Kingdom Far Away from feature writer Justin Marks and di Bonaventura Television. Meanwhile, Sony TV is behind another series adaptation of a hit movie, Beverly Hills Cop, which has a pilot production commitment at CBS with Shawn Ryan writing/exec producing and Eddie Murphy exec producing and potentially recurring.

Sounds like a ginormous waste of Ron Moore's talents.

I liked his Virtuality pilot and thought it had promise. Certainly would have been welcomed in the current scifi wasteland (Fringe excluded of course).

At first I thought his 17th Precinct would just be like a Harry Potter-esque procedural cop show, but then at the end they took it in the direction I was hoping for, and that had a lot of promise as well.

Maybe the only way he could get a show on the air is to produce mediocrity?

Virtuality did have promise, but it appeared they wanted to copy the LOST formula which every other show then tried to do. The problem is, every other viewer in TV-land does not appreciate intelligent television...

"But I didn't do it...!"
"I knew you'd say that"...*BLAM!*

Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome Starts November 9

http://www.youtube.com/user/MachinimaPrime channel

The long awaited prequel to "Battlestar Galactica," "Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome" is almost here and it's going to start much sooner than you would expect. What was originally a two-hour pilot, that wasn't picked up for series, will now be presented online as ten 7-12 minute webisodes through Machinima's YouTube channel (via EW). The first episode of the series will be online this Friday, November 9, with the rest of the episodes set to premiere in the next four weeks. The original pilot will air on the Syfy network in early 2013 with an unrated DVD release expected to follow.
