There's probably two ways to go with the detection situation.

One: You might suspect Baltar's motives, he is slightly insane after all.

Two: Who would he tell? He certainly wouldn't want to tell a potential Cylon, and until he knew of a significantly sized group of non-Cylons (who could react quickly to the knowledge) what point would there be to tell one or two people? Especially since (within the storyline) he wouldn't know if it was possible to replace an existing character with a Cylon duplicate. We think we know that there are limited models of human-looking Cylons but do the show's "characters" know that for certain? 12 models now but what about the future?

Sturgeon's Law: "Nothing is always absolutely so."
Sturgeons Revelation: "Ninety percent of everything is crud."
My Thoughts: "A reasoned argument must share some basic common points."

IIRC, it was 13 models and we found out when Baltar found that out. So at least he knows.

With what we've been told up to this point, at least, it's 12 models. Whether or not it'll stay that way, well...I'm trying to stay spoiler-free.

12 models, of which we've seen 4 (Boomer, Six, and the two guys...)

Don't you wish there were a knob on the TV to turn up the intelligence? There's one marked "Brightness," but it don't work.

... Plus the "original toasters"/centurions and I'm assuming that the cylon raider ships count as one too ... so that makes 6 so far (by my count.)

I thought she told Baltar 12 "other" models. That could be a fuzzy recollection.

I was under the impression that the 12 models were ones who looked human. But, even if the 12 does count the toasters and the raiders, there's still plenty we haven't seen.

Kudos to the producers for keeping their options open...

On another front, I too, wish UHD would quit showing the spoiler previews. They seem to think that everyone watched all of the first season on SciFi. I did (and am enjoying the HD broadcasts just as much), but many of you out there haven't, and I agree, it isn't very thoughtful of them.

Quoth Number Six, "That model still has it's uses ...," in reference to the "toasters." The raiders are a bit of a gray area ...

Are they showing season 2 previews on UniHD?

I watched this season on DVD already so I haven't been watching much UniHD, but, I watched the premiere of The 4400 on USA last night and you definitely don't want to watch that channel as in their previews for the upcoming season 2 of BG they give away all sorts of spoilers through the end of season 1, including one of the biggest ones.

They're showing the previews on UHD as well. I was pretty pissed the first time. I have seen all the episodes. My Partner is seeing them for the first time now on UHD. He was completely spoiler-free because he is never on a computer and had no idea how the season ended. Now he knows.

I think that stems from when Baltar was testing ship Boomer....and #6 suggested she didn't know she was one, but her Cylon part would probably react badly and also most likely kill him. His conclusion: he will only see green from then on!

He could leave the Galactica, then call Adama and let him know Boomer is a Cylon if he's that frightened.

He should've said Tigh's wife was a Cylon, even if she wasn't

If you watched the season finale on SciFi, you already know the spoiler...

Tigh's wife is a real piece of work, isn't she?!

BTW, is there a real Boomer....?

From all indications so far, there is no "human" Boomer. She is merely one of the 12 models of Cylons.

Any news on whether or not Season 2, which starts to air soon on Sci Fi (first this time and not in the UK) will be shown on UniversalHD? Man I'd love to hear SciFi is going HD in the next month.

I would have to go back and watch every episode, but from what I remember, there isn't a human Boomer, or, if there was, the Cylons switched her out and are holding or killed the human one and never told us about it in the show. She must have been a Cylon before the original attack was made.

Pay close attention to the last or second to last episode, can't remember which one, but you'll see some really nice things in it...

I'm sure it will shown on UniHD, but most likely only after it's run on SciFi.

Speaking of which, nice touch to still have #6 bent over the table with her dress above her hips when Starbuck comes in to the lab. While everyone might not necessarily like the image, it shows the quality of this production.

I think she mentioned that her parents were killed in some kind of rebellion. Sounded like a cover story she uses to prevent anyone trying to dig into her non-existent past. Probably never was a real Boomer.

When that episode was initially shown on Sci-Fi, they dropped a big parental warning before it began. When it was rebroacast last week, the warning was gone. But it appeared to be unedited because Num6 was still shown with her dress hiked up.

"But I didn't do it...!"
"I knew you'd say that"...*BLAM!*
