Espn just mentioned that tonights Heat-Wizards playoff game will be in HD btw.[on ABC at 8pm et]

If a movie or concert video or a TV show isn't on blu ray it darn well should be.

This is great news. I didn't think that ABC would do any playoffs games in HD until the Finals.

If ESPN was misinformed then where can we go for the right info?

The game just started and no HD. Why would ABC not show this game in HD? Looks horrible in SD.

ABC obviously told ESPN the wrong thing this morning about the game being in HD[they said it'd be on ABC-HD].

It only makes sense that if ESPN HD didn't do HD for game 3, that ABC wouldn't do HD tonight.

By the same token, I expect to see the Pistons / Pacers in HD tomorrow.

Kevin, you really need to choose your words more carefully. It's obvious the info was incorrect, but there is a huge difference between simple incompetence and a lie.

If you believe ESPN 'lied', you need more help than this forum can provide.

Ok, good, a step in the right direction.

As for who to believe, I still have a relatively high degree of confidence in the ESPN HD schedule, at least for ESPN HD.

Unfortunately, were interested in a technology that simply doesn't get a lot of attention from those who are in charge of the major TV providers, in spite of the fact in many cases they provide HDTV! Sad but true.

Why do you think I work so hard to develop sources that provide us with info that is correct?

I looked on the ABC.COM sports schedule and there's no mention of the game tomorrow being in HD....take that for what you may.

How I would take it, is to say if the ABC HD schedule is as 'accurate' as the ESPN HD schedule, we'll get HD tomorrow!

Maybe.

Even if they did decide to do it in HD on short notice, don't forget what happened with the Capital One Bowl. With four days official notice (Ken told us about it way before that!), several stations across the nation including ones in markets with teams in the game had no idea it was going to be in HD and did not flip the switch on time, if at all.
