I did not care for the episode at all. I thought the whole numbers thing was stupid.

Perhaps I misremembered.

I felt this week's show was as good as previous episodes. But, what I really liked were all the flashback of the characters over the years. Gibbs/Harmon has really aged. Abby/Pauley Perrette also does not look as young as once she did. Sean Murray/McGee showed a big difference from when, in the beginning, he was of MUCH heavier weight. The person that does not seem to have changed very much is Michael Weatherly/Tony. Maybe a few more wrinkles, but basically unchanged. The character I still miss is Sasha Alexander/Caitlin Todd. It was nice to see her in the flashbacks.

I'm not sure why people keep saying "Bring Ziva back."

Cote quit.

Are you a regular viewer? Gibbs has been touting his "rules" since the beginning. And, yes, I knew what Rule 51 was before he reminded us. The "numbers thing" as you called it was why the episode was titled "House Rules."

You can still see Sasha as a blond on Rizzoli and Isles.

But she's not nearly as attractive with the extra weight on Rizzoli and Isles.

In space, no one can hear you scream . . .

I thought this was one of the worst episodes. I never cared for "Rule #x " It always seemed dumb to me and does not fit Gibb's character. This was a whole episode showing how dumb the rules are.

The whole "My father was too strict with me but I'm starting to appreciate it now" has been done to death on many shows. I'm sick of it.

Let's put the hacker suspects together and maybe we'll get the answers we need. Really? Totally out of character for the show. The fact that it worked at the end was even worse. I think they gave the regular writers the month off so we have a semi-clip show and the rest is out of character.

Yes, I am a regular viewer and am aware of the "rule numbers". I still did not like the episode.

Perhaps I misremembered.

Thanks for the comeback. I've seen her on Rizzoli. I did not "get into" that show. So, I never followed it. I always felt she had a "presence" on NCIS that the others (that followed her) just never equaled. And, the episode where she was killed (by Ziva's brother) truly shocked me when I first saw it. Gibbs and Tony were helping her get up after she had been shot in the chest (the bullet went into a bullet-proof vest). Gibbs said something to the effect that she did a great job. Her retort was "I never thought I'd hear------" when the second shot hit her in the head. That scene truly just shocked me. What a way to be written out of a show.

Yes, that was truly a shocker, and a sad one. I still miss her on that show. Apparently, she wanted out of her contract to concentrate on her family. Do you know she's married to Sophia Loren' son?

To me, it seemed like the writers pretty much took the week off, the rules, the flash backs and finally appreciate dad thing dominated the episode and could have been written by the writers in their sleep.

I thought there was a slightly humorous twist in McGee's character this week. He starts out by turning on the "fireplace" on his computer monitor. Then, he types out his thoughts/letter on a MANUAL typewriter. Neither here nor there-just an observation.

He also played his music using a record and a turntable rather than something newer (yes, I know LPs are making a comeback).

Yes, I agree. He is my least favorite character on the show.

I'm not sure how much time passed... I'm sure you realized by the end that McGee opens the episode typing the eulogy letter he leaves with his father at the end... so the entire episode is a flashback to the last case he worked before his father died. These cases might take days or weeks... they don't always show us clearly how much time elapses in any given episode.

So I assumed that he did get to go to the hospital and be with his father before he passed away... and they just didn't show us that part.

Yeah baby!  It's Halloween!
