Watching via the CBS website is a total non-starter due to perhaps the worst A/V presentation ever. They crush blacks and the audio is horrible.
When I created my schedule on Sunday, TitanTV listed the episode as Pay to Play, but the episode aired was Home of the Brave, the one skipped 2 weeks ago...

Agreed. Once again, more preaching than solving. This show is going down hill fast.

I was beginning to think the brothers were a sneak peek at an upcoming Three Stooges revival show. The word unfunny cannot describe what I saw last night.

Insult to loyal NCIS viewers will have to do.

I almost turned it off after the first 5 minutes or so. But I decided to see how bad it would be. Wow! Ignoring the main theme, the rest of the drivel writing/storyline is insulting to 13 year olds who it seems the writers - I say that loosely - are now targeting. And just wait till what's left of the Sopranos crew finds out who AJ's ex-girlfriend is dating. LOL I don't know whether to kill the seasons pass after all these years or just hang on to see how bad it gets - kinda like rubbernecking an accident on the highway.

As an original NCIS fan, it is sad to see how bad the writing has been. I just watched the episode and the 3 brothers reminded me of the brothers on the Bob Newhart show, Larry, Daryl and Daryl. Anyone remember these guys?

Forget the attempts at levity, they can't make the dark plots come over as suspenseful. Time for Gibbs to retire.

I heard tell, as soon as Gibbs is finished with his boat, he's gone. I stopped watching the show a few weeks ago. If anyone needs a replacement show, check out Forged in Fire or Below Deck. Both, much more entertaining.

After watching tonight's episode, I'm out. None of the new people this season fit in at all and the writing... sheeze... hope they're not being paid anything for their work.

I've watched this show from the beginning also, but I'm out as well.

Bad casting, bad stories, bad acting, preachy messaging, bad / boring writing ... no more for me.

I know Don Bellisario is in the credits, but is he still actively involved in it? It's hard to believe he would let it deteriorate this way if he was in a position to do anything about it...

Bellisario was forced out by Mark Harmon in 2007 and he was pissed about it. He sued when NCIS LA came on. Don't know how that turned out.

2007 - wasn't that about the peak of its popularity? Ziva and Shepard, not the buzz-kills Bishop and Vance? And frequent guest appearances like Fornell and Borin and Franks? And stories that were more like actual mysteries?

Edit> Anyway, this episode was totally absurd - killing a congressional aide is going to prevent the closing of a military base? Is that really the best the writers can come up with?

This show was "at its peak" for an awfully long time, as it was #1 forever, it seems. Crazy. I have watched every one during its run, but I like mindless fluff. Mindless is one thing, but when you start throwing in love for poor, railroaded Guantanamo detainees, you've gone over the top, I'm thinking.

I almost dropped out after last episode. I read this post yesterday and last night I clicked on the Tivo recording thinking, "What am I doing? Why am I doing this?". We'll, it couldn't have been two minutes and "click, click, click. click", buh-bye TiVo Onepass. Sad.

Maybe it's like a bad wreck-just can't keep from rubbernecking and looking or smelling a bad carton of milk several times to make sure it's spoiled We'll keep a watchin for the duration just because .I still like it better than Bull which we didn't even make it through the 1st show.

I don't see how it can be maintaining a 1.8 rating -sure, the 15M geezers will keep watching out of sheer habit but I can't imagine 18-49's hanging on like this. The unfortunate upshot is that the horrible cast mistakes aren't likely to be addressed. It's turning out that both Esposito and Valderrama were much better in their previous roles on Blue Bloods and Awake.

Seems like the other CBS hit "Criminal Minds" has a rebellion from its fans for almost the same reason..Too many new cast members:

They fired the guy that played Hotchner, rumor has it for some altercation on set. There are two new cast members and one retread. The part that bugs me is Hotchner's absence is because he & his son are in witness protection. WTF? The FBI can't protect an agent???

As far as NCIS, I still miss Kate.
