They've been hinting at it for a few years now. It's about time they got around to writing something more about the two.

Great final episode, I have called this series a hit from the very first episode. Glad Brass is coming back.. Whats with the clues in the picture on the CBS website? You scroll over picture with magnifying glass. Maybe Brass was the only one missing in the picture..

The sidle-grissom affair shocker at end was totally manipulative hokum, just pure melodramatic tintillation to keep you watching next season. Grissom's character in all the years CSI has been on would NEVER let himself do this. This insults my intelligence

Well, they've been giving the "one raised eyebrow" stare/flirt to each other in a number of prior episodes over the years. I think the seeds were planted long ago.

Now... as to whether it makes dramatic sense to have them act on it finally, well we'll just have to see. I certainly liked Josh and Donna finally doing it after all of these years during the final episodes of "West Wing", and that probably would have continued well had the series not just ended.

CSI:NY seemed like it was in HHD (High HiDef) last night. Why can't all HD shows be broadcast this brilliant. That's what HD is supposed to look like.

Wolfie

It did seem a lot brighter and more colorful than previous episodes.

I know they changed the look about halfway through the season, made it more Miami-y and Las Vegas-y.

I don't just watch HD-TV, I make it happen.

On what planet have you been living?

Grissom and Sara have had chemistry since season one.

What the hell do you think the episode Butterflied in season four was all about?

No, not just the murder

'Built to Kill (Part 1)'
I noticed Grissom brought Sara lunch, but not Warrick last night. A friend said it was racist, I said it was b/c Sara and Grissom had a thing going on.

I did not pay too much attention last night, Interesting episode. Replication of the murder/suicide scene with mini toys/creations was cool. Also some trippy parts to it.

I thought the episode was really good. Did they ever figure out the crime with the girl they found? I might have missed that part.

The scenes at the end were easily the highlight of the show...the mini-replica and then with what happened to Katherine.

Great show.

Interesting episode. It kinda seemed disjointed during the last 15 minutes or so. The miniature "scene" was interesting. I suppose we'll see a flashback of how Bonaduce's character ended up dead at the table. That is, unless you get mentioned in the opening credits for just laying there pretending to be dead.

(From Marc Berman's Friday, September 22, 2006, Programming Insider column at Mediaweek.com )
Primetime Ratings For Thursday, September 21st

The biggest battle of the new season -- Grey's Anatomy vs. CSI -- was underway last night with ABC's red-hot medical drama the clear winner. But CBS still managed to be the most-watched network (770,000 viewers ahead of ABC), while ABC finished first in the overnights and adults 18-49. A night of season premieres on NBC settled for the distant No. 3 spot, while Fox's perennial Thursday audience woes continued. The CW hid under the desk with repeats.

Grey's Anatomy at 9 p.m. opened season three with a hefty 17.1/25 in the overnights, 25.14 million viewers and a 10.9/26 among adults 18-49. CBS' CSI was down, but far from out, with its season-premiere at a 14.9/22 in the overnights, 22.04 million viewers and a 7.5/18 among adults 18-49. For comparative purposes, take a look at both dramas versus their year-ago launches.

Grey Anatomy (ABC)
9/25/05 (Sun. 10 p.m.) - Overnights: 13.2/20, Viewers: 18.98 million, A18-49: 8.3/20
9/21/06 (Thurs. 9 p.m.) - Overnights: 17.1/25, Viewers: 25.14 million, A18-49: 10.9/26
Percent Change - Overnights: +30, Viewers: +32, A18-49: +31

CSI (CBS)
9/22/05 - Overnights: 19.3/27, Viewers: 29.02 million, A18-49: 10.2/25
9/21/06 - Overnights: 14.9/22, Viewers: 22.04 million, A18-49: 7.5/18
Percent Change - Overnights: -23, Viewers: -24, A18-49: -26

Wow!

I have had my OTA hooked up to my new 42" Hitachi 1080i for about a week now.

This was the first time I have ever watched CSI. Amazing is an understatement! This has got to be the best example of HD programming I've seen so far. I tryed to turn on SD CSI for a comparison and I couldn't handle it at all. I know I sound spoiled, but if I had to watch that show in SD for it's "story" there is no way I could stick with it. I find myself drooling over the picture and not so much on the "story".

Her head got whacked by the stage elevator.

The Cirque du Solei sequences were fantastic, great imagery, that's one of the Cirque shows I've been wanting to see and now I'm more determined than ever..going to try to see all 3 in Las Vegas in one trip.

The opening scene with the miniature and Grissom's eye filling the window was very cool, great shot. The photography on this show is as great as ever, very creative.

Thought the overall quality of Vegas exceeded the other two CSI's this week, as it often seems to. The other two just seemed misguided in too many aspects. -- John

Was your friend really stoned or something? Racist? . The lunch bit was clearly a nod to the season ender "bedroom" scene and the little thing Grissom and Sara have going. Slut? The stuff with Katherine was obviously a drugging/rape situation. I will say one thing though, that Katherine really needs to rethink her choice of evening activities. She seems to be getting into trouble in bars a lot lately .

I wanted to know where Nick was all this time ? He went with her to the club, he wound up dancing with another chick, then Katherine is drinking something that was drugged (probably the bartender did it) and she wakes up the next morning.

He mentions he knew another girl there and Katherine ackwoledeged he wanted to dance with her. Evidently it developed into something more and while Kat was just falling into her drugged state waved to Nick as he waved to her as if to say he was leaving. At that point she was probably not aware of what was happening to her.

CSI NY is going down the tolet.

Claire Forlani? She has to be the worst actress of all time. I love looking at her but no talent whatsoever.

At least I still have LV and Miami.

They have:
Mystere' at Treasure Island (TI)
"O" at the Bellagio
Zoomanity at New York, New York
Ka' at MGM
and
The Beatles "Love" at the Mirage

BTW, I have seen Mystere', "O" and Zoomanity and actually liked Mystere' the best so far.

I did read an article about the stage design for Ka' in either Design News or Machine Design magazine, pretty amazing engineering feat to move something that big that easilly, but Cirque does not spare any expense when they build for a show!

Wow! Half way thru last night's episode, I'm thinking, "this show does the same thing all the time. Why don't they change things a bit?" Then, catherine gets drugged at a bar, and we see her performing her own examination /rape kit on herself. And the whole sit with Grissom and Sara. Way cool show!

I do get a bit peeved when we the audiance are given sutle info and then this info gets lost throughout the couse of a season. I.E. - no mention of Linday, and no mnetion of W's marriage.

Pluses were the fact that they mention the blond woman in the opening credits (they didn't last year, did they??), and also the fact that they showed Brass and the citation he was given to him. Slick

No, the blonde girl was not on the credits last year. She became more visible as the season went on last year.

I almost thought for a few minutes that Katharine and Nick were going to start making out when they were dancing. That would have been quite a twist!

I definitely thought they were going the formulaic route...the ending really swerved me. I can't wait to see the next part.

I hadn't heard about "Love" and had forgotten about "Zoomanity". I may have to really do some wheeling/dealing to arrange to see all of them in one trip.

Going to see "Delirium", which is a little bit different from their "normal" stuff, tomorrow night in San Jose.
