I think last night's storyline scenario really happened recently?
I heard Jay Leno joke about it.
Somebody held up a gun store and then got shot by multiple people in the gun store. The people in the gun store all had legal concealed handguns.
Best drama HD picture quality seen in a while last night (fake gold bars episode). According to this late-'09 article (page 3), the producer said they'd use the Sony F-35 digital camera and HDCAM-SR tape machine. First page of the article discusses other CSI-show camera options, but it seems like CSI:Miami is still too fuzzy, and CSI Vegas needs work, IMO, to match or exceed its former (presumably) 35mm production. Wish other all-digital producers (NCIS, etc.) would match CSI NY's 1080/24p HD quality. (WCBS-DT, no subchannels, via NYC TWC to 65" 1080p plasma @8') -- John

Thanks, kspaz, for the refresh '05 link on CSI:Vegas. Recall the digitalcontentproducer.com article indicated this original CSI was sticking with 35mm but the others were going all-digital for the current season. But the CSI:NY this week, mentioned above, had such excellent contrast and detail for digital capture, seemingly exceeding CS:Vegas PQ, that the productions seemed to be getting ambiguous. IMDB.com seems to often list 2010 shows only as 1.78:1 under their tech spec sections, not all the camera changes. Then again, I've been catching CSI Vegas on Fridays from TWC's HD VOD channel, which likely shaves off some of the PQ. -- John
EDIT: Yes, Lee L, Thursday's episode was new. Just watched it on TWC's HD VOD channel.
It wasn't a dream, the silly parts were Hodge's version enhancing his role and poking fun at the others. I thought it was a fantastic ep. Loved that they slipped in some Ghostbusters lines too: "I collect spores, molds, and fungus." and "Back off man, I'm a toxicologist." The latter of course a paraphrase, but all hilarious.
And he and Wendy didn't hook up last year, just learned their attraction. Now they'll hook up at some point.
I think CSI does one of these "silly" episodes each year where Hodges and Wendy get to hook up. If I remember correctly, last year the episode was somewhat Star Trek based.
I think that part of the reason they run these episodes is it gives some of the main characters relief from filming. The secondary characters get to be the main characters for a week, which allows the main characters a chance to have a rest from being on the set all the time. Then you can also use it for character development for the secondary characters.
Now, my vote for the worst episode so far this season was the Rascal Flatts episode. Hooked 220 volt to the amp and electrocuted the bass player? Give me a break, it would have fried the amp before it ever got close to shocking anyone, and the tech would certainly have never been able to finish the show using the same amp. I expect that type of foolishness from CSI:Miami, but not from CSI (Los Vegas).
Both Sara and Nick are 10+ years older than they were in 1999 when the show started, and it shows on both of them.
We're all 10+ years older than we were in 1999 when the show started, and I'm sure it shows on all of us, including YOU!
Or are you so still so young that age has not yet taken its toll on you and/or you are only interested in outer looks/beauty?
