You'd think with the HD truck being at the stadium in Canton for tomorrow nights game they could borrow it for todays ceremonies....BUT NO! they won't[why i have no idea].

If a movie or concert video or a TV show isn't on blu ray it darn well should be.

They can realistically win 3...Syracuse, BYU and Navy. Michigan State would be a mild upset, but possible since it's at South Bend.

Haven't seen an article, but George works for NBC and if he's confirming it, then it's most likely a go. They may be waiting to sign a sponsor before putting out a press release. Just a guess.

This is great to hear. I have yet to see Michigan State football in HD. I was at the ND/MSU game last year so I missed that opportunity. I'll take MSU by 14 in this one, Weiss just won't have the horses his first couple years.

Purdue just HAS to be a home game this year......

What do you think the chances are the night game between Purdue and ND on ESPN will be in HD?

If it is the 7:45 game on ESPN that most definitely it will be in HD. If the game is moved to ESPN2 then i am not sure.

You Serious? Their coach is Charlie Weis, only the offensive coordinator for the three time Super Bowl champion Patriots. After working for Parcells and Belichick, I would except Notre Dame to be a well disciplined team and maybe not this year, but to greatly improve over the next few years. Expect Charlie to get a lot of average players to play better and for ND to play as a team!

The 7pm(e) game on ESPN2 is listed in HD for every week which is on the schedule so far (up to Oct 1st). It's fair to assume this will continue throughout the season. As long as it lasts until Oct 8th we can count on OSU-Penn St in HD. In HD you'll be able to see the Buckeyes on the sidelines committing infractions.

Well here comes Notre Dame's first HD broadcast on NBC against Michigan St.! Who would have thought they'd be 2-0 at this point with upsets over then No. 23 Pitt and No. 3 Michigan! Whoohoo! :p

Uhh, last I knew, the SEC was a regional conference, and CBS shows SEC-SEC games in HD. How do you explain that!

and I must say I have been very impressed with the irish thus far. They're big on both sides of ball and dont make silly mistakes.Norte Dame is not that far offf from being a legitimate natl title contender.I was at last years game vs usc and the irish dominated for a quarter and half before coach will tried to get tricky and it backfired.Looking forward to uscs matchup with nd in hd(only usc game in hd all year)but both squads got to take it one game at a time.

Doesn't matter that SEC is a "regional" conference, as CBS broadcasts 1 game to a national audience. ABC broadcasts 3 to 4 games simultaneously to different parts of the US.

Too early in the season to be getting cocky...makes me nervous, but it would be a good sign if the folks at East Lansing are bummed next Monday. :)

ABC could pick 1 game since they usually have a game that is the PREMIUM game telecast to most of the country. An example was Texas-Ohio State. Why no HD for that game?

What bodes well for ND's future is CW is going to be a great recruiter, that's the name of the game in CFB.

Hoping for 8 wins this year as I think ND has depth issues, but that's what makes CFB a great game.

Charlie is going to build a powerhouse program. But I do have one question: Isn't this ND team made up mostly of Ty's recruits? Maybe he deserves some of the credit?

Looking forward to ND in HD.

And here they come! Where were you folks last year when ND was getting beat by Pitt and other teams? You win two games so far this season, one over a bad Pitt team and one over Mich. Now your games are in hd on NBC and all of a sudden ND is supposedly back. Slow down Domers, you still have 9 more games to play to and more non-hd games on ABC.

If I'm not mistaken, both the UT-OSU and UM-ND game were national audiences. And yet, neither got HD treatment.

Yes, it's too early to get cocky, I'll agree. But since the consensus enjoyed putting the Irish at 0-5 or 1-4 to start the season, I'll risk it. I'm staring at 9-2 right now with losses to the Trojans and Vols. Go Irish!

Yes Ty had a great eye for talent, but was a very lazy recruiter. That is why I said ND has depth issues. Expected kids to go to ND without his staff doing any work -- that doesn't get it done in this era. ND has ONLY 70 some players on FB sch. - issued walk-on sch. to get close to the 85 ALLOWED.

All new coaches get the previous talent -- look how ND played the last 2 years with that talent.

I'll take my chances with Weis when he gets his own players.
