Just another shameless plug for the "Hot Off The Press" sticky :)

This news -- good as it was -- was posted there 17 hours earlier at 2:47 PM PT Tuesday.

"...My Name is Earl dipped to a series-low 8.4/12 in the overnights (#2) and 11.79 million viewers (#3), (but) it was still the dominant force among adults 18-49 in the 9 p.m. half hour with a healthy 5.5/14 in the demo..."

Last night they showed the pilot again, but some scenes were deleted. Such as Earl and that one guy playing beer can tag and Kenny's first trip to the night club where he gets yelled at by the cop.

Did they do this because these scenes didn't further the story along, or was it just so the network could have more commercials?

I love this show. I went to high school in the boonies and can really relate to a lot of just "redneck" things about this show. It's great. I think this is the best new show I have seen this season, and I'm watching 10 other new shows.

NBC is showing 4 episodes Saturday night. If you haven't had the chance to really try this show out, now's your chance.

Indeed. I still want to smack the studio exec that would not greenlight the Fletch remake with him in it. Very underrated actor.

Pretty 'rad' skateboarder too, as I recall. They gotta' work that into a storyline at some point. Hey, it's all about the 18-25 year olds these days in the TV biz, isn't it?

I can't wait. My wife hates this show.. I guess she does not get the Earl type of humor. Me and my son just watch and crack up at the things that both Earl and his brother do.. :D

So is this like reality TV?

Come on you know people like Earl who would make up a list and go through it like that one by one until they correct every bad thing they did...

If you do then maybe it is a little sad..

I about lost it last week when he was burning his golf clubs during this scene:
(ad-libbed)
golfer: Girlfriend, I love you
black guy: what are you doing?
golfer: trying to get my girlfriend back
black guy: by burning a cross?
(shot of clubs and bag on fire looks like a burning cross)
(kicks over golf bag)
girlfriend: what are you doing?
golfer: trying to get you back
girlfriend: by burning a swastika?
(shot of clubs on ground in the shape of a swastika)

My point is there are people who act like them, not that they would make up a list like he did.......

this show is quickly becoming my favorite new show of the year. jason scott lee is a VERY funny guy, in a subdued sort of way. i agree, the planning of the wedding in last night's episode is just about the funniest thing i've seen this season. actually the ceremony itself, complete with the awesome "dj" and the damn soccer guys running around, had me almost in tears.

Jason Lee is one funny guy. There are usually a couple parts of each episode that could be better, but it's still better than most "comedies" on TV.

I tend to keep my distance from the kind of people who drive a pick-up truck with a gun-rack and the word "HICK" on their license plate. ;)

I am a late comer to this show, just tuned in 3 weeks ago. It is very funny and I think that Jason Lee is a perfect fit, he nails the doppy routine perfect. And with the eye candy from the two female leads, the show has a lot to keep me watching!

Of course, Jason Lee is holding up the show (and the writers) for sure. However, I also like the brother character, Randy as well. I think he plays his over-grown-kid character very well.

After this episode I think the Randy/Catalina thing is getting creepy. Seriously he looked like an unstable fellow with an unhealthy attraction...

If you think that being mesmerized while "Nadine Velazquez" performs some "hot" dance number is an "unhealthy attraction..."

I believe that Worlds are about to collide! :D

I thought I saw where she is going to be on Vegas this week. Man they should let Earl and Randy show up there. That would be a great cross over. Big Ed Vs Earl..
