With the exception of adding Rossi, their track record with replacing characters is not very good.

I would say Nick from CSI Las Vegas, but i hear he is in a new series coming out. As a matter of fact, there are quite a few out of work actors from all the different over and done CSI spinoffs that might work.

bring back Prentiss, poach (I know this is crazy) Chris Meloni. SVU is dying and would be crazy to not bring him back, but there appears to be bad blood there. Bring him in as an out of control (shocker) FBI/ATF guy and have Prentiss team to calm hhim down at times. Get rid of "baby girl" and have his schtick provide the comedy relief.

How about Chris Meloni as disgruntled former NYPD detective Evan Stalwart from the sex-crimes division hiring on with the FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit as a special consultant?

I'd say more of a sow.

Perhaps I misremembered.

I have always liked JLH, but I didn't think her character was all that bad, really.

I thought her character did not fit in at all. I have no idea how much of that was on her, and how much was on the writers.

Looks like Thomas Gibson (Hotch) won't be returning due to a temper tantrum he threw on the set.

I have to admit that I stopped watching early this past season but I've been catching up on Netflix. Just finished the last episode for Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore). Really good arc, but it's a shame that he left the show as he was one of my favorite characters. Without Hotch this is a real reboot. How many shows have lasted when 2 main characters depart? I guess we'll find out.

I hope at least it was a kick to the guys head and it knocked him out. That would be a great note to leave on. I'd hate to think he got fired for a shin kick.

I'm actually looking forward to that show. Jury selection angle can prove to be very interesting and character driven.

Yes I was tired of the banter between Morgan and Garcia also. Too much "Baby girl".. That new guy looks like he has the mumps..
