yea but he had to squint, a little dissapointed. I would have though he could have made that shot with his eyes closed. Maybe he just didnt want to show off too much.

Well, with biohazard symbols across the tops they can't be a good...

What I want to know is how long ago was that placed there? They had to dig through the floor to get it... must have been there since the building was first constructed.

Edit: Nerve gas!

Looked like a biohazard symbol on the top of them. I would have guessed smallpox, but they said nerve gas? Why it'd be near the Ontario airport, who knows. Speaking of ONT, I flew in and out of there over the holidays. It's a nice airport -- definately a nicer experience than LAX.

Another exciting two hours of 24.

It appears that the canisters contain nerve gas.

Nice of the 24 people to clean up all the annoying graphics on Fox News. The flag is cut in half and isn't waving - and most times, it's not there at all. The FOX News cube isn't rotating, and the cube on the bottom right was eliminated. They also went widescreen.

I'm not going to complain at all about the quality of the show in HD. When the show came back from commerical at about 7:40 pm it stayed in SD until about 8:25 pm when they finally switched it back to HD. I watch KBSI FOX 23 out of the Cape Girardeau, MO/Paducah, KY market OTA. I tried calling them, but absolutely no one picks up the phone after business hours. They are going to get an extremely Jack Bauer-like call tomorrow during business hours.
"I need that show in HD NOW, DAMMIT! Can you do that for me or not?"

Had a similar problem in Houston tonight...lost the HD feed for about 15-20 minutes or so. SD feed was solid during the period of time the HD signal was lost. Probably due to the storms passing through the area this evening. At least I got most of the 2-hours in HD.

Another EXCELLENT 2 hours. Quite possibly one of the most intense times of any "24" episode was the anticipation of the CTU attack that was temporarily delayed when they (SamWise Gamgee, aka Sean Astin) figured out the "flank 2" signal...I know I was jumping up and down in front of my TV....was I alone?

No, my wife was just as agitated and she is usually non-plussed about most TV shows I like. If 24 can get her that involved, it's definitely a testament to how good the show really is. :)

Cheers, Dave

Good start to the seaon. Only 20 episodes left.

There's a mole at CTU (as usual) and I think its . . .

NOT the kid with Chloe, but it's Audrey Raines. Yep. . . she is so bitter losing Paul and the way everything went with her and her brother that she is just angry and bitter. AND she knows the "inside" of what's going on. SHE was the one who discovered that Jack was still alive. AND she wants him dead (or framed) . . . whatever it takes.

I thought it odd to see her at all this season. When I did, I thought that something was out of place. Also, her reaction to finding out Jack was alive was abnormal. She didn't appear shocked or moved. It all adds up to Audrey being a "shady" character this season.

lax,

A little here and there. The outdoor scenes (the summit, treaty-signing, etc) looked spectacular, but some of the darker scenes were a little grainy.

Nope. . . . grain all right . . . even in some bright scenes. I have a HD Sony HS51 projector on an 8 foot screen. Any grain or artifacts REALLY show up and I see them all. I thought the first two episodes were "cleaner" than these two.

The "flank 2" code was such an obvious attempt to warn that I was surprised that Curtis didn't catch it. It took the division dude. Up to that point, he was bugging me, but he's a thorough guy and fairly sharp. But he appears very difficult to work with which should make things interesting.

Jack really cemented his relationship with the Derek (the kid), but I wonder what the chances of him having a lasting relationship with this new woman, Diane. One common theme throughout ALL of the series is how Jack's job interferes with his "normal" life. Any lasting relationship will go against that common thread. So, any chance at all with Diane? Or is she going to die or end it?

What a great start. I could watch four hours a week of this show no problem. One hour a week is kind of a let down.

The writing is a step above the last couple years so far. Hopefully they keep it up.
