All the ABC in-house promos are in HD, except for shows that aren't in HD (Jimmy Kimmel, Dancing with the Stars)...

Manually-switched ABC stations are going to show some commercials in SD if there's a local element in the break and the MCO makes the switch before that local element airs (sometimes necessary because it's tough to work the digital air chain switching gear and set up the local element at the same time).

Not that I'm excusing it. Just telling you why the breaks are airing in SD in some markets.

Walking the fine line between jaw-dropping and a plain ol' yawn.

I'm surprised we haven't seen it here...WEWS has a habit of switching SD ABC shows entirely locally, upconverted from their own analog.

That commercial reminded me of Vegas showgirls. As bad as the NFL is with any reference to Las Vegas I'm surprised they allowed that one.

Why a remake at all? Why not do a disaster movie with all the contemporary CGI but think up your own damn storyline?

Thought from a technical standpoint the Fusion commerical was very good. Nice HD picture and excellent use of 5.1 surround.

Um, that thing has 6 blades (5 on one side, 1 on the back) so it is the razor for you. Just wait until somebody tries to be high-tech and names it a 5.1 razor. :)
