And here's a complaint to get this thread fired up again
Not so much a complaint, more of a new customer question to see if anyone else has ever experienced this.
I was watching an On-Demand movie, and all through the movie there was something bothering me that I just couldn't put my finger on. As I got to the end of the movie, I figured out that the picture was too washed out. Blacks were not deep, and coming through as almost dark grey.
At first I thought it was my TV settings, so I switched to a DVD, and everything looked fine. Back to the U-Verse receiver, washed out again.
I used the "reset system" feature under help, and when everything booted back up, it was fine. Blacks were back to nice and inky. A week or two later, everything is washed out again, and needed to perform another reset.
Think I'm just looking at a bad box here, or something else I should troubleshoot?
